for me shinra tensei is better in japanese because you can hear the pain and hate leaking through the actors performance. I agree with Carter, the dub just makes it sound flat

I like both sub and dub. I haven't watched part 2 yet, but I think you should have included some funny scenes. Some of the serious stuff sounds better in sub, and dub can be hit or miss because they do have to shorten to dialogue to match with the lip movement.

I understand Japanese, literally watched all kinds of Japanese media (news, tv shows, dramas, movies, anime, music shows, etc) for over a decade now and even if English VAs work hard, the Japanese VAs have always worked harder and will do it better. I mean, aura is nice and all, but there's gotta more behind it. ππΎββοΈ
