Pinchpenny was pinching mad when not only his butterfly collection was stolen, but half of it was fake, too. He retrieved an old heirloom from the vaults, which was clearly cursed to high heaven and beyond. Afterwards he behaved completly changed snd was suddenly competent and clear headed, as well as a capable necromancer. What exactly possesses him is not mentioned, my bet is on an ancestor turned lich. As for Sir Huck, he used to be the stablehand, was rapidly promoted to the Baron's right hand man. Okay. When where and how did pinch penny become someone or something other. Plus who or what is apparently wearing pinch penny's body? How and when? How is Huck oblivious as in earlier chapters he seemed quite capable. And what's happened to Hucks family? Please and thank you to anyone who can help

I think you mean Hoss not Huck. Huck was the sniffer guy that was helping the legit taxman. We met Hoss in ch. 270.

Well whatever took control of pinchpenny, it just made a crucial misstake. Glaciers are bad for business...and pinchpenny is already on Bily's shitlist...not to mrntion Ozzy and his crew well remember how he hunted the refugees... If pinchpenny (or whoever uses him as a sleeve), go turncoat...well good excuse for Ozzy to administer some karma...

I'm hoping that the Shepherd (cant remember his name) gets the Great Owl for two reasons. One. To save the species from extinction from the sound sound of it. The beast masters don't seem to have high standing, or care for their beasts even though they are carrying a lot of the army via wolves/snarlfangs and mammoths, so scouts and logistics. Two. The start of Ghaboras flying Calvary and scouts. An exotic mount that I think the Fae would enjoy them as a novelty. Not to mention Mercenary's and Legion might pay a pretty penny for a mount you cant hear and has night vision for black ops.
