🕑 Added 2024-10-31 09:28:12 +0000 UTCWell, I started the month strong then fell off a cliff. Whoops. Lets finish it with something cool. The Savior Repair Vehicle 3D sculpt, by Alan Blackwell.
Here you can see the gantry in the deployed position. If all goes well that will hinge up and down, along with the side doors of the gantry also moving (just not the little 4 end sections). I'm looking forward to (or dreading) to see how this one goes in product and how far we can push our vee sculpts, and the possibilities of miniatures articulation.
Who's gonna run a campaign where you have to escort 3 of these around in your missions? Vs some wily Clanners maybe?

Omg. I need at LEAST 3. I see it hinging up, like my Triton, to combine 3 to make a standing mechbay.

If it was laying down, the existing repair arms would still be able to do work on it. See the smaller folded up sections on the sides? That could wrap all the way around some lights. Of course, once you see a 3D model on here it's usually long been locked in and sent off for production.

Anthony... You might want to hint at further folding sections on the 'back' of the upright. The part that would be facing 'down' when folded flat against the vehicle's bed. This would be helpful in expanding the Savior's usefulness in that in an emergency, a 30-ton Mech or less could mount the vehicle's bed and have at least basic 'chicken wire mesh and thin sheet steel platforms for As-Techs to do minimal repairs, like armor plating, fixing actuators, accessing ammo bins for refill, heat sink repairs or quick swap out replacements, etc. Think about it, eh?
