Patreon Credit Card Payments

So payments are being labeled as 'foreign transactions' which would be an alert to many banks. So if this is the case, you may be able to fix it by calling the bank or changing payment method, even if it's another card. (thank you Panther for the information!)Hello everyone!
It looks like Patreon is having some issues with credit cards this month. We've had a very unusual amount of declines and it may be because Patreon is having issues with credit cards. If you feel this might be the case, make sure to check and see if your pledge went through, especially if you're using a credit card. We've heard that some payments are being labeled as fraud so if it doesn't go through you might want to check with your bank, they may be incorrectly labeling it. Unfortunately Patreon won't let anyone view new posts if the payment doesn't go through and we would hate for anyone to miss out this month π£
Uggg we're so sorry about this inconvenience! We hope they resolve the issue on their end soon, but if you have the option, switching to paypal may be a quick fix. We're so sorry again! You all are so awesome and don't deserve this kind of stress! ;_; β€β€β€

It happened to me (even though I've been doing this for two years) and it's because Patreon changed their address from the states to the UK, so it's a 'foreign transaction' that puts up red flags for the banks. :/ Just call your bank and let them know that it's not fraud and that you would like the transaction to go through and you'll be able to retry the payments here on Patreon! :)

You can also go to your profile picture, click on "your memberships" then "billing history" and you can retry the payment here. It worked for me but if you have more than one pledge you have to retry each of them individually. Also you have to update the page for it to show "complete" payment instead of "failed" and you should get an email if it goes through ok.
