So far we’ve seen the voice work particularly when the order feels natural/possible to the victim. Like with Huygens, he’d already been considering moving back home—and with Sulvain, his spirit was so broken that he felt apathetic about living anyway. I think it might have worked for a moment on Raz because of his bloodlust, but in both his and Sulvain’s case, once a firm decision was made not to obey, the power’s gone.
