It’s so interesting how he smells actual blood. So it has a high iron content? Yet he’s not clotting at all, so he probably has no platelets. I wonder. Maybe he still needs certain supplements or something. If his blood really is the river, then The Field must stink like CRAZYYY! Maybe that’s why he’s worried about smelling bad all the time!

I wonder if Hargrave blasting through the roof is a kind of beacon for Vivi and friends. Surely it would have turned plenty of heads in town and alerted them to Sulvain's whereabouts. Who else would be battling a giant asshole capable of that amount of destruction? 😂

Same Lee. I swear this story has made me cry sooo much. I think the last time I was really excited (besides when Raziol showed up) was seeing Sesam's wings. I have felt pretty alone without anyone to lean on lately...so I have to live vicariously through Sulvain and Raziol's hugs.

Y’all, there is a part of me that wants that star beast to come trotting in from the crypt next-door and lay down next to them like a pet dog. It has got me thinking though. That beast did bite Sulivan earlier and nothing seemed to happen. Is he unaffected by the bite the same way he doesn’t get sick? Did the beast react differently to the gold blood? Hard to tell since it was over so quickly. But interesting :3

Ah, so Sulvain’s golden blood/ichor/death river water smells like actual blood to Raziol. Interesting… so Raziol may have a hard time controlling himself with his blood running everywhere as time goes on. I am actually very curious what would happen if he did drink Sulvain’s blood… As an aside, Sulvain went back to signing and Raziol didn’t seem to care, though I am sure he has plenty of questions. I know I for one would not let that rest until I got some answers. However, his speech bubble was kind of weird looking- he must have been whispering or raspy/struggling to talk, I assume. Also, I can’t help but wonder what is going on around them. Like, are the palace guards still looking for him? I imagine Raziol’s dad was probably waiting for him to tell him how the ball went, when Huygens probably told him “oh your son is missing and we found his bloody cape.” Aside from all this, I just adore the tenderness and love between them. The way they hold each other’s hands and embrace each other. Ugh, this comic is honestly so beautiful. I hope someone comes to help soon, though I am not sure who that would be or if Sulvain is just becoming more and more delirious.

I am relieved that Sul is signing again (and maybe in the future can chose when to use his voice) because when he was speaking in this last chapter it seemed to be out of desperation, necessity, frear and/or anger. It's important for Sulvain to have autonomy over his voice and when and how he chooses to communicate. Small potatoes right now tho - don't die

I have been wondering when the phrase “I love you” came into regular use in that arrangement (I feel like it should be easier to quickly find the answer to this, wouldn’t we have noticed when people started writing it down in letters??). I think in the absence of that phrase as a thing people associate with the steps of a romantic relationship, Terry’s right, they’ve blown past it with different words. But seriously, I want to find the answer to this!!

That last panel reminds me of when they were dancing at Versailles, when they were talking about the future. Only that time it was Raziol who was curled up, head on Sulvain's shoulder who comforted him. Now, after all that has transpired, it is Sulvain who needs to curl up in Raz's arms and be comforted. Also, it brings it way back to the beginning of the story when Sulvain first decided to open up to Raziol in his apartment, and after they kiss, he melted into Raziol's arms not realizing how much he needed a hug. 😭💔❤️ I feel like Sulvain has had to be strong for a long time, without anyone to be his support, and now that he has found Raziol, he is slowly realizing that he needs this, like really needs this. And Raziol too. He has always felt disregarded or not good enough, like no one "needed" him. I hope he can be strong for Sulvain now and realize how much is is wanted, needed, and loved. Have they told one another, "I love you" yet?

Oh my gosh there is so MUCH to admire about this page!! Does anyone else see a small role reversal now that Raz is holding on to a bit of a secret?? Sulvain is so vulnerable in that last panel—maybe even a little needy? In the back of his mind, I wonder if he’s noted the great thing that could happen if he does survive—telling the whole truth to Raz. It’ll be so interesting if we get a chance to see him open up more! Raz is so game to share exactly what he’s feeling and when (sans right now) whereas Sulvain has always seemed to trend a little reserved. I love love love seeing this dynamic shift!! I’m seriously at the edge of my seat every update. You guys are doing magnificent work 💛
