This is my 10th time rereading the new pages, and I just noticed how the background fades away! That’s such a nice touch, to show that they’re basically in their own little world right now. 🥹💞

Yeah, my thought is that they didn't even know each other were alive, they can't just hop into assuming permissions for touch have remained the same. The fall is actually critical because it allows Raziol to touch Sulvain in a totally natural and unthinking way that is not fraught with possible romantic importance... but which functions almost like a first impulsive kiss. That moment when Sulvain touches Raziol's face and Raziol closes his eyes is the "kiss back" moment that establishes they have at least this much acceptance of touch permission. Which is when Raziol is like "So let me just grab you here and find us a private location, okay?"

To a certain extent, both of them may have forgotten exactly what each other looks like because of how long they’d gone without seeing each other. Imagine trying to remember someone’s face after ten years without seeing them, without looking at a photo. Now add 100 and more years. Then add a mask. 🦹🏻 I think Raziol recognized Sulvain so easily in the library because it was a familiar place to see Sulvain in. He first met Sulvain in a library. The ball, on the other hand, was full of people. Raziol hadn’t been introduced to the possibility that Sulvain could be alive yet . . . until that dance at the ball, because I think he definitely recognized Sulvain, but didn’t fully believe it. He still hadn’t had a clue about Sulvain’s long life (wasn’t told yet). So when he sees Sulvain a second time, he’s more open to the possibility that it might be him.

All great points Sev, right now they are both in shock so the deeper emotions haven’t had the chance to surface yet. Right now all Raz can think about is helping Sulvain and getting them both to a place they can talk. Also 300 years is a long time, going back to the same physical affection they had right away is gonna be a little more than awkward 😆🥲

Raziol has changed so much, but in some ways, he’s also still the same Raz we know and love. 💞 It seems pretty clear from his body language and posture that he’s lost his shy, timid side. After 300 years of being immortal, he’s bound to get desensitized to some of the things he used to worry so much about. But even though he’s lost that innocent naivety, his curiosity and passionate pursuit of knowledge has remained. In the study room earlier, we got a glimpse at some of what he was researching, and you can see a drawing of the vampire lion thing that bit him. Even after all this time, he still has so many questions he wants to find the answers to, and he’s so driven and focused in his search for the truth. I think my favorite part is that despite all these changes in his mannerisms, and this new confidence and calm he’s found, you can still recognize some of his old facial expressions. 😭❤️ Like the smile he gives Sulvain when he picks him up, or the way his eyebrows draw together with worry. I can’t wait to see more of what’s changed and what hasn’t. 🥰

I'm surprised how tame their reunion is, I kind of imagined more raw emotions, disbelief and maybe even some sadness or anger at the fact that they have been apart for 300 years. Raz tried to find him or his friends but was unsuccessful and had to navigate a terrible existence of never aging and losing all his loved ones, having to hide from people finding out while prob. having to deal with blood thirst. His lover, who's own immortal/undead condition he didn't understand, promised him he would find help in his friends but he found none. Now they are reunited and it kind of feels like they were only apart for a few years. I am very happy they finally met again and I am excited for what is to come, but I wonder why esp. Raz is so calm about it, as if he knew Sulvain was around throughout the years? Did they meet at the ball and he realized but it turned out badly and he had time to deal with his emotions since then? Is he in disbelief and his fassade will break? I'm excited but I don't think I could be this chill with meeting my greatest love again after 300 years of being a vampire and not knowing my necromancer boyfriend was around forever as well 😅

Okay this all thinkin how Raziol has changed and that he was hard to recognise at The Ball sends me back to thinking about it We didn't have any glance at Raziol POV so he could have suspicious and just be in super duper denial, but it's still makes me think that he couuuuld be influenced by the river Lethe, a tiny little bit, tho I'm looking at every panel from chap 15 now and it's not like he drank it, maybe a bit through the kiss. Because Because he recognised his back in the library, his general body shape and everything and he didn't while looking directly into his dreamy eyes? And because I still find suspicious the "the chill of his lips!" - sounds a lot more like his suprise at Sulvain cold hands in the first chapter than "oh shiet I know those!" of someone who was kissing this guy a lot. So I'm getting back and forth with this idea that the kiss was like a catalyst to his memories, that Sulvain said will be back if he wont drunk too much. This essay is called "That dan- glass of wine will forever haunt me" sjdjdjfj It's Sunday morning, I over slept (I swear it's not because I woke up to read the page at 4 am, I forgot to set alarm)(I did it to the bus stop in time but barely) but all i can think is those two 💗💕💓 no worries only rainbows and prince charming carring another prince charming in his arms

So when I was in college we did a figure drawing exercise where we took turns play acting being passed out drunk and lifting each other off the ground so everyone else could get a sense of that dead weight when they drew. I was the first of the drunkards and on the first attempt my classmate was able to pull me up easily because I actually helped automatically without thinking. I had to really focus on the floor to not do that and on the second try he couldn’t lift me. He wasn’t weak, it just turns out humans are really heavy. Also I’m pretty sure Sul doesn’t eat. He’s had to barf up everything we’ve seen him consume so far XD

No one said it directly to Sulvain that I’m aware of, but Vivi once described him as “dead weight.” Not in an insulting way. It’s just that when people are unconscious (or dead), they can’t use their muscles to help you move them, so they’ll feel heavier than they would have otherwise. It’d take a lot of strength to carry any fully grown adult in this position though. 😅

How would you know? Did anyone who carried you before say that? Has your weight even changed in 300 years? Does Sulvain even eat, now that I mention it? I know he's necromancing himself, but how does he replenish his energy? Both magical and physical. If it was explained before, I forgot and don't know where to look. Also, if Raz carried Sulvain 300 years ago (don't know if he did, and if so, don't know what chapter that was either) did Raz say he was heavy? Hold on. Sulvain, are you just saying/signing that because your so full of emotion of what's just happened, that that's all you can say/sign? Looks like the shock/astonishment of having found one another after 300 years just wore off. Now they're both back to having the casual/ackward/offhand conversation. I guess it's true in some cases. It doesn't how much time passes when two people don't see each other or are together (in this case 300 years). When those two people finally come together/see each other again, they can literally pick up right where they left off.
