Saltandcookies, yes, totally. Sas, you are also right. Since we heard Raziol say aloud that Sulvain's blood was gold, we know he noticed it. But we've also now heard in some detail how disoriented he felt that day. So he's probably holding onto conflicting scientific data (Sulvain's blood is gold/I'm possibly seeing things already, how many are real?) and needs some help to disambiguate.

That could be too much magic at once for someone who never before saw magic and was on the edge of sanity after the change at once 😭 I even thought that he could explain that to himselve that maybe he saw it as gold on the blind hunger. Idk if that would make much sense to him tho

I think part of it, too, is that Raziol is a scientist. While he’s incredibly open-minded, he usually only believes things he can explain with logic or prove—and believing you saw your boyfriend’s eyes glowing when you have NO prior knowledge that magic exists (remember, he thought what his mom did might have been a dream) would probably seem more like a sleep-deprived hallucination than a genuine fact. 😅 As for the gold blood… I mean, he *did* see the sky bleeding into the trees in the forest earlier that day. 👀

He's done similar things before. He's been very good at just letting things that make him curious *about Sulvain specifically* slide and go unanswered. I think watching Sulvain break his charcoal pencil when he asked about his voice hit Raziol pretty hard. He may well have a huge list of pending questions stored up in his head, though...

See, I get that Sul had not really explained the... "logistics" of his existence so to speak, because I bet he's had to be very careful for who knows how long. But it might have prevented some anxiety on both ends here 🥺 Sul, you really do need to communicate and explain to your boyfriend, OK? Also, this is the first time in a long time we see Raz tear up 😭 It wasn't your fault sweetie, not even Sul was prepared for what you two would face

Omgggg my soul hurts 😭 I feel so bad for them, that was a situation that was out of either of their control. I feel so bad that Raz feels like he’s even a little at fault. As if he asked for any of it! 😞 I’m curious about his wording about trusting himself not to hurt Sulvain. I wonder if that trust is part of the way he’s learned to control his powers now. I’m curious to learn more about those mechanics. Seeing that old page still hurts, even when I can just come back here and see them together again! ❤️‍🩹
