I've thought about this so much! In addition to losing Sulvain, Raz probably lost any means of finding a sympathetic, magical support system, which is devastating 😭 I have to wonder if telling Sulvain about how he's stayed alive so long wasn't the first time he's explained his situation to anyone since his father died. Being able to be honest with Sulvain had to be healing for him!

I was just re-reading Chapter 11 and I'm realizing that Raziol had just barely realized magoi existed when his life-as-it-was ended abruptly. And what are the chances that he spent 300 years wandering and not running into anyone else supernatural? I feel like he didn't just lose Sulvain, but he lost his connection to something wondrous... and it sounds like to wonder in general, since he lost his connection with the stars at the same time. It's no wonder he feels elated and transformed to be rediscovering it all at once!

Poor Raziol 😭 Poor boy can’t catch a break today. Hang in there! I find it really interesting how we can kind of see people’s veins almost like Sulvain can see ligelumes! Is that an artistic choice, or is it something Raziol can see as well? I remember him kind of watching his own veins when he came to as a vampire the first time, but he was seeing them through the sunlight, so I didn’t think anything of it then. But now I wonder! Another awesome page! 💕
