Yeah, I think you are right in that he is thinking of all these things, and that he still feels like an outsider. I’m really looking forward to seeing how KaiJu approaches it. It’s interesting because Raziol seems to do all right talking to crowds of other intellectuals when it is for the purpose of SCIENCE, but this is a party and he’s probably not going to be presenting his findings about Saturn.

Beautiful page, as usual! I’m glad he didn’t cover his lovely hair- the curl is cute. I also love the relationship between Raz and Huygens- he’s a great mentor/father-like figure who has his best interests at heart. I wonder if Sulvain also received an invitation or how they will all inevitably end up at this grand event. Also, Raz doesn’t like these kinds of events because he still feels like an outsider, is that correct? I remember in the prequel comic he said something like that, and how people are more interested in him being a novelty in that he is foreign rather than his intellectual abilities. Or are there other reasons? Maybe they remind him of how he met Bevan? I also re-read this comic recently to refresh my memory, and was wondering why he didn’t attend Jean’s funeral with the others. Anyway, I’ll stop rambling. Looking forward to seeing what happens!
