ooh man i was not expecting the connection and/or symbolism between orpheus and sulvain but i can see it now 😭 (and slightly unrelated but being the musical theater nerd i am all i can think of is hadestown and sulvain wanting to say "wait for me i'm coming" to raziol 😩)

Ooh the ancient Egyptian Book of Thoth and the legend of Orpheus give me so much to ponder here! Love getting these hints of Sulvain's past. I wonder though, does Vivi or Sesam know about his past? Like, Vivi knows he is an undead necromancer, but does she know he is ancient? Has he revealed to her anything else about his past? I just wonder what she knows about him.

Afterthought Pt. 2: Greek sculptures and legends are often brought up in conversation of Sulvain and his past…I wonder if the ancient gods will come into play….or if Sul is a demigod himself……I’m getting carried away now 🤭

Afterthought: Perhaps he went looking for this power to bring his loved ones back to life to be with him forever (in the state he is). Or he was so stricken with grief he wanted to harm all those who have wronged him and those he cared for. The latter would support the traumatic flashbacks he had because of Hargrave.

INTERESTING! I love that we learn things about Sulvain’s past in such teased out ways—it makes me wonder if when we get the catharsis of him actually telling his story it’ll happen when he tells Raziol. And Orpheus is the perfect legend to parallel with Sulvain—has me thinking’ THEORIES!!
