@Heather Camp - If it helps, going by the clothing, it was definitely not Huygens. Blonde man in the tree had on a plain shirt with plain cuffs (not unlike a button-down of today) and olive trousers (possibly working class? Hard to tell - looking up fashion of the era tends to just show the type of dress being worn that night at the palace - but it would make sense, since ruffled sleeves would get in the way if you were, say, doing farmwork). Huygens was wearing a shirt with puffed sleeves and ruffled cuffs with brown breeches, and I don't think we've seen him in any other kind of shirt before.
