It's rare to find comics that depict life without greatly simplifying it, reducing it into easy to follow tropes (I am not saying that this kind of storytelling is bad, mind), and you have time and time again showcased your mastery of portraying *nuance.* It is refreshing to see Ruben's parents not being shown as black-and-white-villains, but seeing life mimicked in a much more realistic, messy way. You did a wonderful job with Scott (even pre-change) and you've done a wonderful job with Reuben's parents.

It's always the highlight of my month whenever you update YAA!!! I know you say it's going slow but Please take all the time you need for this chapter, bc honestly to me 7 fully rendered pages of planned out composition, well done typography, color, AND really enjoyable dialogue and story is really worth the wait!!!

It's so nice to see Crush not only picking up on Ruben being autistic AF, but also readily adapting to it! I read his clarification as not just an act of kindness, but (more surprisingly coming from Carter) an act of intelligence. I forget where YAA once shared an audio clip of a voiceclaim for Carter where he was talking about not necessarily being able to articulate or use precise diction perfectly but still knowing his stuff, but being able to clarify his intent for Ruben like that strikes me as more *intelligent* than he gives himself credit for. and the kindness is the important part, but the intelligence is the one that stands out to me as a surprise.
