We’ve decided to trial a change to the podcast and release 2 or 3 fewer episodes a month, so we can free up time for some exciting plans.
As a loyal Patreon member, you will still receive an exclusive episode every week.
That episode will be Extra Shot, which will now only be available to Patreon members.
Non-paying listeners will only get one weekly episode: the Tuesday one about a sports star’s life story.
As for the Patreon Specials like Jerry Springer and Oasis, we’ll still do them once a month. In those weeks, we’ll release Extra Shot to the masses.
The topic of those special episodes will be decided by YOU in a poll at the start of every month…
Why we’re doing this
It is a serious pleasure to bring you stories about Neymar’s orgies and Thomas Tuchel’s nightclub antics.
But we’re a small outfit, and doing three podcasts a week, planning a live tour and choreographing JP’s naked calendar is spreading us thin.
From now on, we’ll spend less time doing the bins of obscure Russian ballet stars, and more time serving up banger episodes, plus occasional livestreams, meet ups and merch.
Next steps
We’ll start the change next week. You’ll still keep all your other Patreon perks like early access to two parters and ad-free episodes.
We are extremely grateful to all of you for enabling us to do this for a living and hope you understand.

The deep dive into noughties tabloid moral panics (e.g. Baden-Baden/nonce-sense/spit roasting eps) are some of your best work to be fair lads, so more stuff like a phone hacking episode would be hugely welcomed
