WHAT IS LOKA?
LOKA is a Choose Your Own Adventure-style story inspired by the fangames “Legend of Krystal,” featuring Krystal featuring Krystal in a world full of lizard folk. The idea is simple: you, the audience, get to decide what happens next by voting between two choices. The most voted path becomes the continuation of the story.
WHAT'S THE RULE?
There’s one true ending — the wholesome one.
I can even spoil it for you: Fox and Krystal reunite and finally get to live happily together.
As for the other endings? Well... definitely not as wholesome.
Your goal is to keep Krystal safe for as long as possible to reach that ending.
That means voting for the path that seems safest for her.
Assuming that's what you want.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WRONG CHOICE WINS?
It depends. Some choices aren’t immediately dangerous. Others definitely are.
I haven’t made the “right” path too obvious — sometimes it is, sometimes not.
If Krystal ends up in a bad situation, she’ll lose a piece of clothing — up to 6 in total.
That’s not the only way she can lose clothes though. Her path is dangerous no matter what, and doubt can have consequences:
If the vote is too close (between 34–65%), she loses a piece anyway (see that as her trying to struggle to get out of a situation).

WHAT IF SHE ENDS UP NAKED AFTER LOOSING ALL HER CLOTHES?
If Krystal loses all her clothes, the only way to keep her safe is for at least 66% of voters to choose the safe options.
Midway through the story, there will be a checkpoint where it’ll be possible to re-craft her clothing - kinda - and get some extra “lives.”
But if she’s naked and less than 66% pick the safe option?
Well… it’s called Legend of Krystal for a reason. Let’s just say that’s Game Over.
No retries.
AREN’T YOU SUPPOSED TO DO WHOLESOME CONTENT ONLY?
I do! That’s exactly what I hope will happen with this story too!
But for a “choose your own adventure” format to actually have tension and suspense, there needs to be real stakes — and real danger for the main protagonist.

And I’d honestly love to turn that ending into a short 2D animation with voice acting. Hope that'd be motivational enough.
HOW DO WE VOTE?
Voting happens via posts for the Café and Croissant tiers right after a new page is released.
Why not Baguette? Because this project is meant to give something exclusive to the Café tier, which I feel hasn’t gotten much love since alt versions were discontinued.
Croissant-tier backers will also get their own post to double their vote.
I hope you’ll manage to keep Krystal safe.
And if not… well, maybe that really was her destiny.

- She loses clothes when danger hits (or votes are between 34% to 65%)
- Naked + wrong vote = Game Over
- Only one try — no retries

I don't mind. As much as I love wholesome content, I do enjoy kinky bad endings.

It's actually a safe net that goes progressively slimmer over time the more she looses her clothes. Because if she reaches the point where she's naked, the bad ending goes up to 65%.

I totally agree with you. The thing is, whether we like it or not, LOK has become a major part of Krystal’s legacy, arguably more so than Nintendo itself. For many people, “the blue vixen getting railed by dinos” is all they know her for. Those fanarts alone, based on LOK, have defined her public image. That’s not something I can change. But what I'd like to do, and want to try, is twist that formula. I want to tell a version of that story where all those bad things don’t happen to her. A version where Krystal actually resists the usual fate LOK stories impose on her. A version that becomes an act of rebellion against what LOK traditionally represents. And ends in something wholesome instead. Of course, retelling LOK without the danger would strip the story of its core. It has to be part of it. Otherwise, it'd mean nothing. But this "rebellion" doesn't mean much either if it’s just me making the choices. This isn't about me. I already make lot of happy content with her. It has to be a group effort. A story where a whole community stands up and show clearly that they don’t want her to suffer. They want her to be safe and happy. In a way, it’s fighting fire with fire. Choosing to believe in an audience driven toward wholesome content to send a message. Maybe that’s naive. But I’d rather believe in the people gathered here. So yes, I’m counting on the people who want nothing but wholesome things, people like you, I assume, to protect her. Because that’s what this project is really about. Sending a message that there are people willing to keep her away of what LOK represents, by having her overcoming all their trops and still managing to have a happy ending. Basically, can't make an "Anti LOK" without referencing LOK.

I'm disappointed, Lummh. Of all the things, LOK? There are so many different ways you could achieve a tense, high-stakes CYOA comic without referencing LOK or have the stakes being Krystal getting raped. I never expected this from you.

Me too, but I believe that makes the experience even spicier! Although I assume most people subbed on this Patreon are here for "wholesome, accurate" content and not just porn for the sake of it. If it's true, the chances of having a good ending are still there.
