Neophyte Progress Poll: Tastka

Im not saying i never wanna see her again, its nice to actually see the world in person… but its such a tiny slice… and i dont think the word count invested can possibly pay off in a worthwhile way. What meaningful development is gained by having this many day by day chapters devoted to her. Dont miss my point. Is the story about her? Or the administrator in the novels title. A 50/50 word count for a short term side character is way too much i feel.

This type of avatar is great at a VERY DETAILED vertical slice, but you’re looking for more temporary avatars like a proxy avatar, it sounds like. Sounds like I just need to be careful about using incarnates in the future.

I would definitely prefer something closer to the Foundation series where we get more of the key moments defining the new culture rather than a play by play of Tastkas life. Also a bit less dependent on a particular perspective and more exploration of some of the other cultures in the world. In my mind the whole point of the Tastka parts are to make the world feel a bit more concrete, and the dwarves, other races of elves, etc. still feel very loose in my head.
