Nirvana Issue 3 - Money Heist!

Sooo excited to show you guys this issue! As you know, with the lockdown I've been watching a lot of Netflix shows and Money Heist was on my watch list! I mentioned this to Alvin (@dreamworld) and he told me he loves the show as well! Anyways, we thought it would be super fun to shoot me as Tokyo's half sister in the desert and starring my van Ed!
We also shot a video on the same day and I can't wait to show you guys that and the BTS vlog in the coming weeks. We had a lot of fun and it was just so nice to be with the team! We also have a polaroid story with Alvin and some never-before-seen images of me from Rob!

Finding comfort in discomfort Rachel took advantage of the lockdown during the pandemic last year to have more personal time during this time of discomfort for most of the country. Many people became fearful and many became restless. It seems today that people are so accustomed to comfort that when things go awry or are uncomfortable they become unhinged. Suicide, depression, and drug use become their solution. The Stoic philosophers back in ancient Rome would actually put themselves in unpleasant situations to help their spirituality and have a greater appreciation of things. I chose a location for my medical training where I knew it would be difficult, but I also knew when I finished, I would be able to handle any situation put before me. That temporary discomfort helped me progress in my field. Because of the lack of love from my parents growing up and past emotional scars, my next discomfort is to make myself open and vulnerable to relationships. I recently had an elderly patient pass away after a surgery I performed. When I met with the family, we had a warm and connected discussion which the family felt appreciative and good closure their mother’s life. Afterwards, I had an emotional release and felt cleansed. Years ago I would have been fearful of such an interaction because it would have put me in a vulnerable state.

Hey, you guys need to plan out your multi-page pictures show they show up on together. Right now if you open up the pdf, the multipage pictures are off a page. For instance, if I open the file up in adobe reader, and set it to show two pages, side by side, page 60 shows with page 59, but page 60 has a multi-page picture on it that goes with page 61. I have no way to see these multi-page picture together. OR I am just missing something obvious????

Such an amazing issue! Money Heist has been in my Netflix queue forever - time to get around to watching that! I love left side of page 8 from that shoot, it has a strikingly powerful vibe! I still love the handwritten notes/articles - makes all of this feel more personal. The photo on page 43 is quite honestly my favorite photo of you ever! Thank you, Rach and your team for all your hard work and taking us on this fantastical journey!

My fav issue of all wtvr’s and Nirvana’s by far!! Don’t get me wrong, sunny beaches with stunning girls are sure nice to watch, but after some mags with sort of the same content I was hoping for some more creative content. And that’s why this theme issue is so absolutely spot on!!! Love the creative theme-‘acting’ / rollplaying of Rachel combined with her natural sensuallity and her out-of-this-world beauty. Hope you’ll continue this way with new themes in the mags ahead!!

Great issue! I know you just uploaded this but looking through it, I noticed it only shows one page at a time, meaning that every separate page is in portrait mode which naturally cuts in half all of the pictures that stretch over 2 pages. In all your previous issues it would show 2 pages at a time so that it was essentially like having a physical magazine open. Are you going to fix that on this one?
