Progress on the development of Malevolent Planet - 22nd June 2020
🕑 Added 2020-06-23 02:00:34 +0000 UTCThese days are a bit busy in my personal life, so I apologize if the content slowed down a little. In a week though, I should be completely free.
Today's new additions are:
- The 2 new hairstyles I've mentioned have been added to the game.
- There are 2 more eyebrow styles and fixed a bug that matched the eyebrow color to the hair color, so now the eyebrow color is fully independent of the player character's color.
- The character creation screen is being prepared for the demo preview of the scene I mentioned in the last development update. With this opportunity, you'll be able to test the new cosmetic additions yourself before the full v0.1.0 update is ready and you'll see the results of the feedback I've received over the scenes. On f95zone.to, an user stated that players do not generally want to be locked out of scenes, but they want more choices during these scenes meaning that they can leave the scenes willingly or not, with more interactions and choices on the course of the action and I listened.
- I am also drawing the demo's scene, as many have said it's a feature they'd want to see. I am using the preset that shows up in my avatar, because it's not really doable to draw all possible character variants by hand.
- In addition to drawing, I'm writing it as it goes. It's proven to be quite lengthy as I detail the surroundings of the event and the character's feelings more. For example, there are around 1000 words just getting into the scene, as foreplay. Since there are many choice branches, it will add up.
As a result of the last update, I am not sure what I will do. I guess that making the legs a bit longer as The Harpoon said is better done earlier than later, as outfits will gather up and it will be an increasingly time consuming task. I will decide soon.
So I am hoping to release that demo scene this week, but it will be very difficult given the time constraints imposed upon me by life events. I do not want to rush it, I want it to be good so that other future scenes will be as good or even better.

Don't rush yourself, your life is what really matter. I would lying if I say I am not impatient to try all the new features. But it's just a game. We can all wait.
