Progress on the development of Malevolent Planet - 8th July 2020
🕑 Added 2020-07-07 22:30:12 +0000 UTCWith the help of a friend to notice the solution, and with the help of a very helpful person on the Twine discord to apply the solution, we do not need 2 sidebars anymore.
As you can see in the gif, you will be able to toggle between menus. If you will want to view your character, you can just press the Looks button, if you will want to switch your active weapon, there is the Items button and if you will want to view your stats, there is the Stats button. Since now I have more space to work with, the Stats and the Items menus will be adapted to contain more useful information. In addition to those, there have been made slight adjustments/updates:
- Adapted all the existing expressions to be used by the pale body skin color as well.
- Updated the .pngs for breast size A for all skin colors, as seen in the image. It is possible that I may have included updated pngs in the preview, but I am not sure so I added it here for reference.
- As you may have seen in the gif, the Malevolent Planet game text is hidden after you start playing the game. I've also stopped showing the version and build at all times, but I will put them together in an About page later down the road. On the first page, with the animation, you will still see the build and game version, but you just won't see it all the time. If you would actually like to see it, then I can put it back, just thought you might appreciate the free real estate.
Not worth to list yet, but I am also drawing these days to try out more styles, which will then later come into the game depends on where they fit. In addition to this, I am also writing content and thinking about getting that fight system finished already, since the random enemy generation is my last hurdle.
For the first quests, I might start with some preset enemy characters, but if you want to explore yourself the outer areas I definitely need to generate random ones. There are a lot of factors to consider here, so it will not be very fast.
Thank you for your patience. Have a great day! (By the way, it's 8th July in GMT +3:00 where I live, just thought I'd release a development update ahead of time since I am still working on drawing and others I've mentioned before to keep you updated)
