Development Update - 14th January 2021
🕑 Added 2021-01-14 15:12:19 +0000 UTCHey! In the past two days, I've been working on what you can see in the attachments.
- A Nightly Alien Desert Background to set the tone for future content set at night in the desert that surrounds the city and not only.
- A Dimly Alien Desert Background to achieve the same, just at a different time of the day.
- A Nutrient Bar meant to be used in the Inventory as a way to replenish health and energy.
- The Codex Menu. It can be accessed in the smartwatch interface. Below you can see a gif of it in action, it still needs to be filled with content but the foundation is built, with a lot of coding help and advice from Cyrus.

The unknown entries of the codex are marked with ????. As the game's lore expands, more of these entries will be developed and as you progress through the content, you will unlock more of them.
For Alien Races (and humans), there will be tabs regarding their physical appearance (with images), history, traits, unique abilities (NSFW or otherwise), and details such as their species' method of reproduction which will be used as a reference to develop content for NSFW scenes with them.
For items, there will be descriptions showing their main type of damage, what enemies should they be used against, etc.
The Smartwatch Interface is being developed one menu at a time and I hope that when it's ready it'll be a really useful addition to the game. The purpose of this update is to fix any obvious shortcomings the game might have had so far, together with providing a pretty sizeable ending to the village.
Since the ending of the village brings with itself an ending to this chapter of the game, I've reconsidered some of my decisions I've held since the September release, that being the way the game presents itself and what incentivizes people to support its development..
Considering I didn't really have any prior experience with NSFW games or long term projects in general, I thought that people might be more willing to support development as long as there are tangible benefits, such as uncensored access to the latest drawings. As months passed by, this thought became more and more filled with doubt, and at times I wished I had a time machine to actually compare different monetization schemes.
As it stands from my personal experience with people who support the game, a lot of you are really nice people and I'm very grateful. There were patrons who subscribed at the end of the month and I felt guilty about them being charged twice in the span of just a few days, so I always offered a refund for that month, but nobody really took me up on the offer. This and other details led me to think that maybe people just want to support me and the game, with the benefits just bringing a nice bonus, so I've thought about becoming more lax with the way I show content like drawings and maybe give up on the censorship.
In conclusion, this is what I had in mind for the next version:
- Remove any censored drawings from the public build and keep the latest 2 versions' drawings and art assets exclusive to Patrons without any censorship. Basically, public build players won't see anything they can't see in full detail.
- Give the Supporter Tier ($1) uncensored access to all the newest drawings, but keep the 1 week timed release.
- Keep the Explorer Tier ($5) benefits, including access to animations and the 2 weeks timed release.
- Keep the Scientist Tier ($10) benefits, which is basically the Explorer Tier + a lot more importance on any suggestions, like hair styles, outfits, ideas for scenes, with me actively seeking feedback on those.
If anyone feels like they're being let down by these potential changes, please let me know. I hesitated to consider this aspect too strongly, because I was feeling guilty about those who might have actually subscribed solely for the benefits and a change like this wouldn't be fair towards them. Thank you and I wish you the best.
