Malevolent Planet 2D Status Update - Release Schedule

Release Schedule:
- Public, 2nd June. ISA Shower Scene Build (the build after the Nurse Shift content).
- Supporter Tier, 30th - 31st May. Day3.1 Warmup Gone Wrong/Simulation Room Build
- Explorer/Scientist, 30th - 31st May. Day3.2 ISA X-Files - already released, but will get updated at the established dates with a previously unfinished animation and a few bugfixes.
On Friday, I had not yet finished the last animation I want to include in the X-Files update so I've been working today on finishing it and tomorrow on polishing it up so that I can release the animation with the bugfixes.
Otherwise, I think I should finish up the draft for the ISA Ending sequence. Most likely I'll have one or two polls to decide how long the finishing sequence should be leading up to the spaceship launch.
Also, we're probably going to have to think about a combat system that would add to the game and not be a complete filler that you'd just like to skip through.
The best I can think of is a combat system that complements the NSFW nature of the game, meaning that enemy actions would be decided by proximity to them together with how "exposed" your character is, meaning that if your character's naked she's more exposed to the "elements" and NSFW actions could unlock.
It'd work through a lot of visual inputs (eg. drawings/animations) caused by specific actions and it'd be interesting if it could be tied to your character's upcoming stats (including Corruption and so on).
In order to make it accessible as well and easier to develop, it'd likely be a turn based system, but I have to be careful to make it interesting enough through NSFW elements otherwise it could easily turn into a chore/obstacle to reach the actual content.
Nonetheless, we'll have a discussion on this and more to come as we finish with the ISA and we get the gameplay loop up and running.
Exciting days are ahead of us if we can push on and I'm very optimistic about the future/near-future. One reasoning for this is that I'm getting more support during the past few months to spend time on development and less on focusing about financial security risks, which is a very good change and I thank you for it.

Yes, I thought about something similar to the text game where clothes have health points but your character also has health points. The willpower mechanic is interesting so we'll see after we have something functional. And yes, there should be a non-fatal scene rather than a game over because game overs are rarely fun.

Damaged clothing would need to be repaired or replaced.

I can imagine a clothing damage system that would act as hit points, resulting in an NSFW scene rather than game over. It can be complemented by willpower wear-down system for attacks like pheromones that would make her remove clothing in stages or go through a staged dialog system in the case of intelligent creatures or animals.
