my first proper digital painting !!!
🕑 Added 2018-01-18 05:38:55 +0000 UTC SO one of my art goals this year is to get better at digital painting and today i finally decided to take the plunge and i painted this little guy!! i like how i blended the colors but i also know that i have SO MUCH TO IMPROVE ON but i just got so excited about him i had to sharealso — i've drawn a couple things in photoshop over the years, but they've all been pretty flat/terrible, so i'm counting this as my first proper foray into this new medium. but if you wanna look at some old terrible digital art of mine just,,,keep scrolling rip
i had a real proper phase with weird creepy mermaids that was VERY FUN i wanna try them again — they were all over the margins of my scripts and everything haha
ALSO does anyone remember tegak.ie? it was basically this online drawing forum, where you used like a REALLY SIMPLIFIED drawing program on the site to draw..posts basically, and all the comments were drawn too!! it was a whole community and was really fun. i have so many old drawings on there, i wish i remembered my log-in..but ANYWAY this is the only painting from that era of my life that i'm actually still proud of?? i was like 16 when i did this?? i don't know how this happened
mind u the sandwich is obscenely small but i was really proud of the colors!! (the hair is a bit whack ignore that)

Love it! I started digital art a while back and I'm still learning. I agree with Kayla, I totally though of Crying Breakfast Friends!! The mermaids are amazing!
