june sketchbook tour ✪

I FINALLY finished this lil Strathmore Mixed Media sketchbook I've had sitting around for ages, and now I can get on to finish my RENDR sketchbook next heheh...I brought my Nina Cosford book with me, and I really wanna start it, but I wanna finish these other two first 😤
Also got some yummy digital sketchbook pages in there for you -- I did up one of those tidy little square sketch pages that I used to do all the time. I've been wanting to be a little more loosey-goosey lately, but it's fun to return to form every once in a while ;o)
When I get home, I'm going to have Marian scan these two sketchbooks, along with my two other most recently finished sketchbooks, so you guys can have them as nice juicy high-res PDFs!! I've talked about it for ages, and we're finally gonna make it happen. >:) Speaking of! For sketchbook tours like this, do y'all like photos like this, or would you prefer scanned pages? Photos are maybe more convenient, but I know scanned pages might be clearer/easier to look at. Let me know what you think!!
I'm gonna be recording the second June podcast here shortly so I'll see you again soon~~~

Gosh I love all of these sketches so so much, they have such lovely creative, whimsical vibes and it really feels like you were having fun while you were making them! It makes me want to finish all my half-done sketchbooks haha

I looked at this on my ipad and I kept involuntarily trying to grab the corner of the page to turn it before remembering it’s on the screen lol!🫠🤦♀️ So hey, great quality photos! And I love seeing your sketches so much! You mentioned something about being conflicted on the cutesy stuff, and I think if you move away from it, you might lose some fans, but you would also probably gain some new ones. Stick with what you love and that love will translate into your work💜

This was so cool! Very taken by your trees and also the castle practice was lovely 🏰 I prefer photos I think, especially if you're scanning sketchbooks once they're completed then we get the best of both worlds anyway!

Every time I read your little notes and you wrote something critical I answer in my head, for example the sleeping character that you made without a reference but you wrote you should have left in b&w, I think it’s lovely and lively this way! ❤️
