Sweden was so lovely and such a dream getaway for a month, and I got so much good quality time with my mama and Swedish fam, but I am so happy to be home with my cats and computer games and mugs and things TT
My mother keeps a Very Clean Home, so getting back to my apartment after 14 hours of traveling, I was still like "oh my god I gotta clean" so I took a 2 hour power nap (as to not jeopardize my night sleep so jet lag won't get me) and then tidied a fair bit and then realized I was too tired to properly clean lmao so that's my plan this weekend
I was really happy tho, I fell asleep at 10:15pm and slept all the way through the night to 8am! so hopefully I've nipped the jetlag in the bud, and now i'm just fighting this weird vague ~sick~ feeling I tend to get after I travel such long distances. It goes away in a few days time, but especially now it makes me feel so paranoid ;;
this month away was so restorative -- I feel all jazzed and excited about this fall and my creative prospects, and I'm taking a page out of Tiffany's (@applecheeks) book, and I'm gonna be embarking on the Artist's Way!! got myself a new lime green moleskine notebook for it and everything >:) I'm gonna start reading it this afternoon, so I'll probably formally start on it tomorrow. Would y'all want me to vlog it?? I have a couple videos that I'll be working editing next week (pt. 2 of my studio moving vlog and a very simple visual sweden diary video, since my footage is all over the place hahah), but I'm becoming more and more into the idea of very casual weekly vlogging -- I'm hoping to maybe start uploading around 2 videos a month! I just signed a Squarespace sponsorship for the rest of this year, so I'll be uploading at the very least one video a month lol
One video I have planned for this fall is an extra long Persona 5 plot recap video, a la Mike's Mic and Cari Reads π it's probably gonna be about 3-4 hours long -- I'm gonna be starting a fresh Persona 5 Royal playthrough soon and taking very vigilant notes and I've been consulting with my bestie Brooke who also loves Persona a lot as my like.. research assistant?? I guess?? I've been having them help me figure out my approach, as I'll need to address both plot AND gameplay stuff, as there's a lot of overlap. I'm really excited!!! I have no blank walls tho, so I'll have to figure that out in some way -- I do have a blank wall in my bedroom, so I may need to buy some lights if I wanna film in there....HMMMM things to think about!
anyway!!! this is all to say I'm happy to be home, I feel creatively JAZZED but am also being hyperaware of my ADHD meltdown tendencies, so I can move forward in maybe a more sustainable way :o)
I'll be formally and officially back in the "office" on Monday, so I'll be responding to e-mails and messages then!! Thank you for your patience!!! LOVE YOU LOTS MWAH
