Dan

Literally the first think I thought as well. Need a line where he has rebuilt some of his missing parts…OR…change it to “Zac took in his surroundings with a wild heart” or something.

David Ballantyne

innumerable jagged windows into different worlds. Zac took in the surroundings with wild eyes - does Zac have eyes at the moment? I wondered if I had missed him regrowing them, but I read the next chapter and it doesn't seem like he does until after the death healing

David Ballantyne

including the Zac and the energy that was about to go supernova. - the Zac?

David Ballantyne

Zac urgently closed the Void Vortex before it could swallow the C-grade. - the c grade dao

David Ballantyne

and a freshly printed arm gripped the axe to release and released a fractal blade - pick one

David Ballantyne

Zac had no earthly way to happen what would happen when he’d dealt with the final petal. - to know

Azwrix

I haven't known what's going on for several books, let alone chapters. And I read every chapter on patreon lol

Owen Stevens

"Even the 5th pillar had been pushed away, preventing them from being dragged back to its side." -- If we assume that all these mirrors are memory domains within the trial, then it's truly odd that there is an opening directly to the Jade General. It makes me wonder what karma needs to be changed with the Jade General? It's especially notable how he is able to push back the power of the 5th pillar even though he is supposedly in a memory held up by the 5th pillar. Either 1. the Jade General is the cause, 2. Ogras is connected to Kalasutra, 3. Zac's luck is just so overwhelming that things fell into place, or 4. the memory was already placed there to save him in the future -- Time shenanigans have been going crazy these last few chapters so I would only be mildly surprised if that last one were the case. It's possible that Emperor Limitless knew which memories would be best to include in the trial without knowing why. Like the same way the Monks change karma in the future without being able to tell exactly what happens in the future.

Seamus Harley

Im not hoping for a harem, but, life, death, conflict. Iz - life, catheya - death, thea - conflict. It's almost scary how well the three together match his path

Dro

The Sysyem/current Heavens were built on 8 pillars with each Pillar being powered by an eternal heritage. Sounds like they all when the system booted up but have been steadily reappearing over time. 4 pillars have previously returned and were been captured by other factions (2nd heaven claimed one of them). Ultum/the Left Imperial Palace is the 5th Pillar to come up out of history. I think Esmeralda caught a glimpse of it a dozen or so chapters back when they first entered the realm - it's what's been powering all the time-defying shenanigans going on.

Jeff McCulley

And, no matter how many bodies he has, he’s clearly monogamous. One body or two, he’s still only one person. Besides, for the Undead aspect, Tavza >>>>>>> Catheya. But you’ll all see.

Reno

I forgot what the fifth pillar was. 🫣 Or that the other pillars might be. Something something heritages?

MacMahon Wenzl

I do think it is a bit hard to always follow the cultivation system if you don't know general cultivation beliefs, read many other cultivation books, or a lot of other LitRPGs. I think you would get the most out of it by not reading chapter to chapter. I had a hard time following the Oram arc chapter by chapter but when I listened to the audio book it made a lot more sense. I think it comes down to a lot of new vocabulary being used once or twice but having wide arching implications on the overall story. It makes feel like you have to re read chapters. Maybe if there was a simple index in chapters that introduced new things where you could refer to it to understand the more esoteric parts going on. As for Zac v Arcaz, I think referring to their names separately would go a long way. There was a discussion a while ago about this. They could be referred to as seperate people and have the index in those chapters simply say "they are the same person". I think at this point everyone knows they are the same person. It helps that they have different traveling companions so referring to the different situations helps distinguish whether we are with Zac or Arcaz. The audiobooks help the most with this because different voices are used when they speak, so you know who specifically is speaking.

MacMahon Wenzl

I noticed, it was a nice inclusion.

zukerburg

He's not gonna continue with 2 bodies forever he intends to fuse back together when he becomes a monarch

Krispy sock

I care ❤️

Jeff McCulley

Well, Vilari and Thea are both Anima Court, so that seems likely to come first.

Jeff McCulley

Pretty sure the flower is in the process of being mostly sucked dry inside the Fuxi Mountain Gate right now.

Blake N.

This isn’t an airport. Just leave. No need to announce it to others. We don’t care

Doug

I happen to agree, would like for Thea to adventure with him and Iz. Would be eye opening for her to see two Eonic seeds Rollin

Flameboy

Who does everyone want Zac to end up with? I personally want Zac to stay as two bodies and have Catheya and Iz.

Flameboy

Also you need to put it into perspective, you’re only reading one chapter every other day. It feels more choppy if this is only how you are reading. It’s hard to keep the momentum going from chapter to chapter, I personally like to take a couple months break and then catch up a bunch of chapters at a time. I also enjoy re reading book series so after a few reads of the same book/chapters it becomes more clear. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t ever fully comprehend things after I read/listen to it only once. 😉

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Doug

Something tells me Iz will be about as clueless as he is

Arthur

Aren't we all😁

Arthur

I feel the same way Doug but like Dapper I'm audiobook fan. The last two books felt exactly like you commented on, but after I'd listen to the Audio it made a lot of thing much more clearer. I'm not saying this will be the case here, but like you I felt the detail seems a bit much. I think I have fallen asleep a couple of times reading these last few chapters. After all that I think, "more is better than less", as the old saying goes.

Borbino the great

Ohh one of the higher ups from back then would be really interesting too maybe the limitless emperor had the coffin placed there for this sole purpose I do wonder how far ahead he had planned and just how intricate his plans where

Borbino the great

That’s going to be a crazy chapter and Zac is just going to be standing to the side confused and kinda scared😂

Douglas Davis

Well maybe the author will see this criticism, take it to heart and improve things in the future. Maybe someday it will be worth coming back to.

liquid_helix

I certainly have no idea. I enjoy the story, but I’ve given up on trying to understand anything associated with Zac’s cultivation. It can be an effort to even keep track of which body’s perspective we’re in, let alone all the other shit. That said, I find the essence of the story compelling and enjoy the progression, which would be well served to do a little more progressing and a little less detail dumping.

Douglas Davis

Agreed. And as I said to Johnny, I read for escapism and pleasure. If I need someone in the comments section to decipher the chapter, then it really is time for me to move on. No matter how much I liked the initial books. I just haven't really enjoyed the series sense the whole war/spatial storm arc started.

Douglas Davis

I think it's purposefully esoteric so as to add the illusion of more depth to the magic system and progression than there really is. And frankly I'm not going to keep paying when I end up skipping half a chapter or more because its either overly dense or doesn't really effect anything. It's just a ridiculous number of adjectives strung together. What saddens me is a really really used to be a huge fan, at least in books 1-3.

Krispy sock

I’m right there with ya, I feel dumb for not comprehending the chapters anymore. I really enjoyed the graveyard arc because of the sweet fights and what not. But then I go many chapters of not having a clue who and what is going on. If it weren’t for the Jeff and lex in the comment section, I’d be completely lost.

Johnny

I’m teetering…every now and then we get normal chapters and the jist is explained, like “oh I can sense Zac is stronger”. The hows and whys I’ve been lost on ages ago. I’m curious if anyone actually follows and understands or if like me they coast thru til getting to more straightforward stuff? I mean does this have its own internal logic at all if you try to understand or is it purposely esoteric? We’ve come a loooong way from fighting demons with an axe

EsoEasy

It cannot be random that they ended up in Kalasutra with coffin guy. If Zac had been leading the way, then okay. That would be normal Zac luck or fate or whatever. But it was Ogras choosing the way forward…so what lead was he following? 🤔🤔🤔

Jeff McCulley

Could be, Birbino? We might be about to find out.

Jeff McCulley

Well, at least I know I follow what’s going on than some people now. For me, the “senseless blabbering” is usually the pure cultivation stuff. In this case, I had some idea what’s going on. Whew!

TheDapperGent

I hear ya, personally I like how it’s gotten little more complex. I do however have an easier time understanding everything in audiobook format.

Jeff McCulley

I think that Alesia done with the whole coffin motif. This coffin would have a heart on it All of the weapons embedded in the coffin with a similar aura to the LIP suggest that this MIGHT be another of Laondio’s God King Generals, like Indra Eyler.

Douglas Davis

I think I've reached my limit. Over half of this chapter was an overly complex explanation of his attempted absorption, that even after rereading it three times, didn't make any sense. The story of Zac started as a simple guy with simple concepts and an easily followable story. It's evolved into an overly complex mess that just doesn't entertain me anymore. Good luck to all you other readers. Maybe I will come back again at some future point.

Doug

I would like to know what's happening with Thea, Catheya. Cannot wait for Iz, Catheya, and Thea to meet

Douglas Davis

Me either. More than half of that chapter appeared to be senseless blabbering.

Tartlet

Chekhov’s Death Plane Coffin!

Flameboy

Did everyone noticed that he clarified the cost of using the shards?? I think TFD thru in an explanation for us, not too many chapters back there was a big conversation on the price for using the shards. He likes us!!

Borbino the great

Later in 1245 when the spatial test is destroyed and ogras thinks it’s from the realm itself maybe it was the coffin helping him out??

Mike Naka

Maybe Zac's a Georgia O'keefe fan? Or TFD LOL

Mike Naka

What if time...What if the coffin is Alea in some far flung future where she's gone to the Threaded Hells to wait on Zac to complete something. It seems like a good hiding place.

Seamus Harley

What if Zac puts the flower thing in the coffin in the past and says they will meet again when he is a monarch in the future

Borbino the great

Huge that you found that I did not wanna have to hunt those chapters down

Silent Consent

Something needs to happen to spread the legend of the deviant to the entire multiverse. Even if it’s just a story Emely makes up.

Jeff McCulley

Posted the sequence. See above.

Jeff McCulley

Excerpted from the first visit to the Threaded Hells. Take it as you will: From Ch. 1,244 Kalasutra 'You… returned…' The voice exploded like a series of bombs in Zac's mind, and his surroundings were replaced by a sea of eyes. 'To… us…' The coffin continued its eternal journey, waiting for the destined day. Ch. 1,245 “Zac's best guess was that the corpse wasn't talking to him. It was rather talking to Karz, just like the wisp of Emperor Limitless when Zac used the Tribulation Throne.”

Jeff McCulley

If you recall, Zac thought that “old friend” referred to his bloodline. Who knows how many times Karz visited here?

Jeff McCulley

Since no one else has yet caught onto it… The pistil is the female organs of a flower No sign of a stamen (the male organs), maybe the reverse Twin had that? In any case…this is a girl plant. Deviant Asura, indeed.

Timothy Dana

Hate time-travel shenanigans. You never know how it’s going to end up until the end, and even then it might not be over.

Jeff McCulley

“And how the hell hadn’t the memory domain collapsed?” I think that I understand this. Through whatever mechanism, the Realm had to hold on until Kalir handed a copy of the repository to Pervata. Or maybe Pervata whisked them away—Zac did ask him to keep Kalir safe, after all. If the scenario only played out until Kalir was twenty feet away from Pervata, opening his mouth in greeting, it defeats the whole purpose of getting there. “Close, but no cigar” just doesn’t do it. Whatever entity is maintaining the realms (the Earth?) just needed to stretch it a wee bit further.

Stephen Taylor

I’m convinced he’s in the past. If he’s not, then he has multiple visits to this lower plane still to come. Old friend is too strong a reference to ignore. That said, it might be possible this plane is outside of time.

Jeff McCulley

Still finding these. “connection to his homeworld weakened the C-grade flower” >it’s homeworld “He and Ogras were out for the count >down for the count

Hakeem Gordon

With these Inverse truths and illusory petals it'd be cool if Ogras made use of this encounter to enhance his dao of false truths!

Indy

muhahaha, with the "new" pricing model your end of the month cliffhanger lost all the power! your dao and path are broken muahahah!

Jeff McCulley

I am pretty sure they’re in the present. Though there’s really no way to tell. Yet. However, we’re about to see if there is a reason that on his previous visit, this entity called him “old friend”, or whatever it said.

Jeff McCulley

The eight petals worth of Void Energy he’d pulled into the … If there are eight petals, at this point Zac has only pulled seven in so far. Maybe “was pulling”?

Matthew Hay

Threaded Hell's Jade General, from ch 1258 on RR.

Michael

I feel like this has got to be a new achievement. He just blew a hole in the trial itself. Something created by multiple supremacies from the peak of the era. That’s bound to have some implications for the rest of the trial takers.

Michael

Pretty sure they are still in the past. The coffin is almost definitely the one from the hells that they saw when escaping to the lower plane in the million gates territory. That entity mentioned waiting for Zac, so this is likely their “first” encounter from the coffins perspective.

Timothy Dana

It’s unclear if Zac is still in the Trial… so he may or may not still be in the past

DrSubterfuge

So the domain broke, but are they in the present yet? Or in other words, from the procession's perspective, is this before or after Zac's previous visit?

Jeff McCulley

Sure, but Ogras only told him to make sure he told the General Zac got credit. Nothing about him being the one to share them with the Wendimars. I suppose when they eventually collect Ventus, he’ll tell them what happened when Kalir reached the outside.

Jeff McCulley

So, in short… Zac got pistil whipped.

Lex Luther S

The whitecrest scion has proper copies of the repository while ogras took the originals. That array master monarch had set up one of the seven leap arrays as a teleporter to escape the mountain through the lower planes.

Jeff McCulley

So…how was Pervata supposed to get the Repository?

Jeff McCulley

There were a number. Compiled them above—missed that one!

Lizy Flore

Wth, I have no idea what’s going on 😂 loved it all, thanks for the chap

Jeff McCulley

Now I’m going to see to go back to see what Kator internal monologued this guy’s name to be. He knew more than he ever shared.

Jeff McCulley

Suggested Edits. This one seems a bit rougher than usual. “had no earthly way to happen what would happen” >know? Calculate? “Whatever concepts held the hovering Dao petal in place was gone” >were “gripped the axe to release and released a fractal blade filled with” >an extra “release”, I think? “before it could swallow the C-grade.” >swallow the C-grade…energy? “having turned portals leading” >turned into “the thousand Spatial Tears” >on second thought, I’ll let this one be “Like brought forth by” >As if was familiar to the >similar to the Left Imperial? >…Expanse. lunged him into >lunged with, dragged or shoved

EsoEasy

I guess we’re headed back to Kalasutra?? Excited to dig in (come on Primo secrets), but I do hope we get to really explore some explicitly “life”-related lore and realms at some point in the future too.

Lex Luther S

Interesting. So they ended up back in the Threaded hells huh? And are now right in front of the jade general..... Interesting. Can't wait to see how this turns into an insane opportunity for both zac and ogras. I'm more curious of this will deposit them right back at the location of the dipper mountain s memory domain as they do have to get ventus lol.

Doug

Dagnabit

Doug

Dag a it

Andrew

Thank you!

Timothy Dana

Edit suggestion: “…foiled Zac’s attempt to ask Ogras what he was up to.”

Tommy

Back in the thread realm I guess? Oh Zac you are a calamity TFTC!

The Lost Pages

Wow what an epic chapter. Monday cannot come fast enough. And I love the role that Ogras is now playing. Amazing.

Chewbacchus

Typo? 'Zac had no earthly way to happen what would happen' feels like the first happen should be know

Indy
