life lately ✿ late august photo dump
🕑 Added 2023-08-30 18:19:17 +0000 UTCfull transparency -- i saw radhia and fran do lil photo dumps like this, and tiffany posted a cute moving blog and rebecca green has been doing sweet lil process/life blogs, and i want to do more blog posts for y'all but they take me ages, and so!! maybe if i can just throw a bunch of photos at you every now and then with some little life notes, maybe that'll work? as always, i'm trying to find what works for me so that i can consistently bring y'all cool/fun/cute stuff
so!! here's some photos from the last half of august!!
- lots of lil photos of the girls -- they are always so cute and i have so many photos of them, and so now i have somewhere to put them hehe. pepper REALLY loves her lil star blankie -- she's been sleeping on it every day!! and one or both of the girls usually joins me for morning pages. if i'm in bed doing them, i'll usually have pepper tucked against me one side and sophie on the other :')
- sophie is a big fan of my new liliuhms rug!! i actually totally forgot i preordered it so it was a very pleasant surprise
- i couldn't believe when i saw the girls sat together near the window -- soph still chases pepper around sometimes, and they'll swat at each other occasionally, but most of the time they can just exist next to each other without any issues and honestly, that's all i could hope for
- i've slowly been trying to make my way through my wips -- i have two scarves i'm working on that i started AGES ago. fall is right around the corner in seattle, and so now i wanna finish these scarves so i can wear them, and i've designated the one pictured here to be the one that i work on while i grind in persona 4 golden
- speaking of!! im in the late game of persona 4 golden and it's SUCH a fun game ToT i'm still loyal to p5 as my fave in the series, but p4g has been such a treat and such a different take than p3 and p5 -- i feel like p3 and p5 deal with very big overarching themes about ~humanity~ so the hyper local feeling of persona 4 golden is really different and cool. and it's a murder mystery which is ALWAYS a treat :D also GOD it makes me wanna spend a fall or winter in a lil rural japanese town (i know i'm romanticizing it!! leave me be!!)
- (i've also been taking screenshots/pictures of every time yosuke says something Gay which is VERY often and i wish they had kept him in as a romance option!! which was the original plan, apparently! damn you, atlus)
- i've been working on packaging ideas for my shop update -- getting back into my ~design~ brain feels so weird but also very fun! I forgot how feral i get when i'm in shop brain mode, so i'm trying to be very mindful of that and not get ahead of myself. i was doing LOTS of print tests last night for some belly bands, but i decided i'm going to go ahead and get them done through CatPrint, especially since they don't have a MOQ
- also formatting the damn thermal labels so the designs would print properly was sUCH a pain in the ass but i finally figured it out so i won't have to deal with this headache again (fingers crossed)
- i reorganized my yarn stash!! i intended on doing just a couple cubbies but you know how it goes :') i feel so much better now looking at it, it's so tidy
- got a new rug for my living room! really feel like it brightens up my whole apartment <3
- i got a "cookie milk" latte at kexp that had ACTUAL cookie crisp in it?? so wild
- i also made this mac n cheese from hello fresh that was really good but SO rich, i could barely get through a small bowl of it
- my artist date this past week was to take myself to a nursery for the first time! i've lived in seattle for 6 years and have still never been to any nurseries here..or at least, none that i can remember. i went to Urban Earth in fremont and it was so lush and beautiful i couldn't believe my eyes -- i ended up going home with this lil cat safe peperomia, and im going to do my best to keep it alive for a while before i get too excited and buy more plants heh. this is the first real plant in my apartment! all the rest of my greenery is from ikea lol
- also i saw this great little chill gnome on a walk recently
- the weather in seattle has been getting greyer and gloomier so, naturally, i am a very happy camper hehe >:)
