Malcolm Gray

I’m gonna be honestly I totally forgot classes were a thing in this series till I saw is status page

Havics Child

Honestly, while I love all this, I want you to set aside 1 chapter soon, and show us what's going on between Iz and Carl. I love both of them and haven't seen anything besides "Yeah, I guess Zacs janitor can tag along, you seem entertaining."

Havics Child

TFD appeared for sometime between 100 and 10,000 years shortly after the completion of the system. He likely hadn't been born yet when the 5th pillar was completed.

Shivam

It was given as a reward to Zac by A'zu and Be'zi after surviving atavism

EsoEasy

Any chance that Zac can stumble on a young First Defier’s memory lantern? Or does the timing of the memories of the trial not match?

John

What’s the Chaos library Zac mentions having spent months researching in?

Jeff McCulley

The lost libs appreciate it.

Jeff McCulley

EXACTLY!!!

Jeff McCulley

Y’know, I’m actually looking forward to Zac retelling the story of when he got past the realmgate. Ogras and Tavza should make for a suitable audience. “….and then Mox showed up.” Ogras whistles appreciatively. “….and then Roan showed up” Tavza: “Wait, who?” “…and then the Marquis showed up!” Ogras gets all wide eyed, because that’s the head of his Court. And the head of the assassin order. “…and THEN, the Primo popped in.” Both Ogras and Tavza in unison, albeit for completely different reasons: “Wait, WHAT?!!” And then after Zac explains, Tavza asks: “Well, what happened next?” Zac: “Then I fell asleep.” Ogras, after a moment’s silence: “Your stories suck, bro.”

James Getgood

he gets visions of Karz, the last one was when he went with Laondio to a continent

Damian Menendez

Lost libs🤣

Jeff McCulley

Pretty sure that the fate of Zecia is on hold until after the Trial is completed. And the Atwood Empire is gobbling up planets. Almost surprised his title hasn’t upgraded—but not quite. And his money hasn’t changed.

Jeff McCulley

Nice! Enjoy!

Edgar Segura

Doesn't zac get a vision of past void emperors when his bloodline advances? If so he could get a vision of past C- grade void emperors and the methods they used to create their own inner worlds. Like using the void in place of a manual to suck energy into their personal void/world.

Conrad Manaugh

Ive been behind for a long while and i have decided to buy all the books and reread. Excited

John

Damn this chapter feels like TFD is speaking directly to the fans after all the discussion recently. I noticed in Zacs character bio it still says his affiliation is to Zecia, so it hasn't transformed yet nor has the Empire teleported. Crazy to think Zac has already gained so much from this trial, and he's only just walked through the fence gate to the Outer Courts front yards.

Jeff McCulley

Well, he wants to combine his bodies, so…yes?

Jeff McCulley

This, x 1000. It’s like there was a point in the Graveyard arc (after advancing his Daos?) that he said he was totally out of momentum, and was lost for what to do next. Totally stuck. No hope of advancing further. That lasted a handful of chapters. Because something dropped into his lap. Or maybe, he dropped into Wal’Zo’s?

Jeff McCulley

Welcome back!

Jeff McCulley

Yes. I think it mentioned leaky pathways.

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Ithoughtofsomething

And I've caught up. 😭. After almost a year away it has been an enjoyable time coming back. Ty TFD

Jeff McCulley

I’m honestly not sure where you got your opening statement from. He literally says he’s ironed out almost all of his issues, and the Heart is a big help. He’ll likely need to be a Peak Hegemon—and upgrade his bloodline— before facing some of the other Flamebearers. He literally says he doesn’t think it’ll be long before he upgrades the bloodline again. The two roadblocks of the moment are core quality, and lack of a manual. Like finding treasures or opportunities for the first one is going to be a problem. May even be purified tribulation lighting arriving shortly, for one step. And for the manual, of course Zac will go through something horrific, almost dies, save the multiverse—and a perfect manual will drop into his lap. Or perfect substitute. Something crazy, like Kaktosa Lu’s foundry ship. Who knows?

Borbino the great

What do you think it’s going to be😭

Jeff McCulley

Agreed.

The pure Creation Energy from the shards was also the most efficient for recovering lost libs. - lost limbs

Jeff McCulley

Similar, but I think it simply transferred over as luck.

Jeff McCulley

“Leaving seclusion, Zac found Tavza and a slightly pale Ogras waiting nearby. Zac had a vague idea of what had transpired and saw no reason to clarify.” Zac has been doing his fair share of guessing lately—and been wrong. I suspect this is another. He thinks she just told him off for tying her up. I suspect it’ll prove to be something else entirely.

Jeff McCulley

It’s implied that Zac thinks Tavza threatened Ogras for tying her up. We’ve seen lately how very wrong Zac can be in his assumptions. I suspect Tavza just told Ogras something else entirely that caught him badly off guard.

secretchicken

2 questions " The pure Creation Energy from the shards was also the most efficient for recovering lost libs." libs? "Zac found Tavza and a slightly pale Ogras waiting nearby. Zac had a vague idea of what had transpired and saw no reason to clarify. Instead, he directly broached his questions." what was implied here? what transpired?

J. E. Barney

I doubt it, Billy’s ancestor “statue man” forbade Billy from getting mixed up with Ultum.

Andrew

Thank you!

Markus

If I remember correctly, than Zac must also fill in or permanently close all his open skill slots and remote skills which are not suited for his path, before entering monarchy. Otherwise it will create an imperfection in his pathways. He was talking about adding some mental skills to using his powerful soul before. Maybe we will see that soon.

rapscity2K

Billys return is imminent, he will be a major force in the courts. Along with gemmy, the spatial treasure, perfect for Zac's upgrade. Saw this one coming from a mile away

Omiso

While I don't disagree with the statement I feel that might be rushing it. When Zac became an Hegemon the Duplicity Core almost killed him when it tried to fuse both of his bloodlines. Quick thinking saved his life by creating two bodies. Leandra and Sendor gave Zac the location of multiple technocrat bases in the Eternal Storm with the intention of helping him get the information he needs to handle the duplicity core for the Monarch transformation and hopefully prevent an accidental death. Tavza is also expecting to get Arcaz to the Abyssal shores before he tries monarchy to ensure the preservation of the line of Eoz. Of course Chaos doesn't give a fig what other people are planning (Zac included) and just does it thing but I still think he will get resources and knowledge first and then reach Monarchy after the trial.

louis

I think you're right. Also, he keeps mentionning the problem of being safe from tribulations during his breakthrough, and what better place to hide from the system and from the heavens than Sanctuary ? Zac spent a lot of time consolidating at the end of E grade, and that just E grade... He'll probably keep bumping into great opportunities until he's ready to make it through perfectly. He doesn't have any other choice if he wants to be able to sustain an inner-world without being a cultivator.

Luke Scheffe

The first either lucked into it, were taught by innate existences, or found eternal heritages.

Shivam

Cosmic Sea means a source of cosmic energy. Since Zac is a void cultivator , wouldn't he pull void energy instead of comic energy to form his core. The cosmic energy and void energy are different. It's likely the void energy will have to be pulled from some sort of Void Sea. Maybe the Great Beyond

Rayyyn

So if I understand correctly, luck = accumulated destiny! I'd been wondering about that

Harley Shockley

People seem to think that you need a manual for an inner world, but what about the first monarchs? They didn’t have manuals, just their methods. I suspect Zac will create his own chaotic method that is both cultivation, yet not, at the same time.

Palmer Evans

I’m just saying, I don’t think we’d be hearing all these steps about entering Monarchy unless TFD is planning to have Zac advance to Monarchy within the trial. I’m not sure on how’s of it (duplicity core included), but I’m just really getting the feeling that Monarchy is not as far away as we thought.

CloudyBall

I mean, it's Zac. Whatever he needs will eventually find a way to conveniently fall into his lap after he almost dies, like it always happens. There is a pattern to this things xD

Jonas Lemke

And this is all still just happening on the outer courts! What chaos will the flame bearers go through for the main inheritance trial?

Jonas Lemke

Great chapter! I'm torn on what I want to see, this was our first insight on how Zac will enter monarchy, but I also want to see what is happening in Zecia after all this time has passed (maybe almost no time at all on the outside) and then we have Carl and Iz causing who knows what, Joanna being called to meet the Emperor's Spear and that's not even counting all the other trial takers. There are so many interesting things that are happening on the peripheral but the main line is still so gripping!

James Getgood

Don't think he can enter C grade yet. Remember the Omni-Lord's Trial? Some bigass Castle in the Sky that lasts 37 days? Tavza mentioned it when they were talking about the vastness of the universe in chapter.... a while ago.... I figure Zach will bump into it in his ship on the way to Sanctuary, and no one over D grade can enter.

Tommy

I always thought his VOID Emperor World place would be used in his inner world somehow. All those materials plus the stuff from the failed breakthrough and the eventual C grade breakthrough.

DrSubterfuge

I get the feeling that his advancement to Monarch is going to lean heavily on a C graded Void Emperor bloodline and his Specialty Core.

James Getgood

Not the reincarnation, he is the First Defier. Something to do with Karz and Laondio messing with time, having him be born to come back to reignite the Limitless Empire because they knew it'd fall after the system was born, but he chooses not and fixes the issues with the system instead. Zach will get there in 100 years but burns most of his life energy to get there so he fades soon after.

Rabauke

I thought they can't get kill energy to level, that's all I known. Only Natural treasures etc.

Taylor Greenwell

I kind of agree with you. I think he pretty much is there, and will find a suitable manual at some point further in the trial that he either re-works with inspiration to fit him, or that is already perfect for him. I do think he still has to get more base materials to support his inner world formation in addition to using his void emperor bloodline to absorb the cosmic sea while being in the void gate to be shielded from the tribulations.

Lex Luther S

A cultivation manual can't be used if one is not a cultivator. Zac is a mortal, even if he's reached heights other cultivators could only dream of. And given he hasn't tried refiting a manual to cultivate the void instead shows that that won't change, even in monarchy.

Juan Molestina

I thought they couldn't see their status because of the trial

Rabauke

Could it be that Zac already has everything he needs to form his Inner World—except for a manual—and just doesn't realize it yet? He has the Void Mountain, the Void Gate, and all the treasures he absorbed from his Void Emperor bloodline. If he can anchor the Void Gate as a stable source of energy within his Inner World, access his bloodline treasury during the C-grade breakthrough, and use the Void Mountain either to refine the void energies flowing through the gate (void as the opposite of Dao) or as a foundation itself—then that would make for a truly unique Inner World. Just my rambling thoughts.

Taylor Greenwell

I guarantee he will find a supreme manual that either works for him outright as he explores the Outer Courts or Ultom court itself or one that he re-works for himself through inspiration from Ultom or the corruption of the lost plane like he did with the void vajra manual.

Lex Luther S

Welp, like I thought, zac really does need another 2-4 decades as a hegemon. It may even be better to wait on upgrading his core to peak D grade until he's finished his mother's mission and gained all he needs to know for their experiments; on him, his mother during her pregnancy, his father, and even what they did to his bloodline and duplicity core. Hell, it's lucky he had that extra 80 years, or he'd likely spend a near century getting everything organized and righted; in fact, with just these issues, 40 years seems tight. Still, though, I'm guessing the pull from a manual can be substituted with his bloodline, which makes upgrading it to C grade before he attempts monarchy even more imperative, as is upgrading the Fuxi mountain gate even further. So, hopefully, there are some more tasty void treasures around to gobble up, lol. Now, enough of his next step as a cultivator, time to find Ventus and that other fellow and get the pretty boy elf back.

Taylor Greenwell

He probably will receive the supreme cultivation manual as part of the ultom heritage. Or something like it at one of the Outer courts where he will use insights from Ultom to re-work it for a mortal like he did with the void vajra manual and book of duality to fit his core formation.

Yuh292

Peak Hegemony is so close!

Taylor Greenwell

Overall, this was a huge win. Does anyone else think Zac is literally the reincarnation of the First Defier? Or maybe this series will end with us finding out once he hits the peak and combines life and death into one domain of chaos where he actually conquers death and life creating a permanent quantum cycle where he is both the original first defier and this incarnation at the same time? I mean, right now he literally has a quantum core with two actual bodies that simultaneously are true Zac at the same time! If this can be the case at D Grade, just imagine what could be done as a Supremacy!

Kirin

Good stuff, wonder if we’re getting 2 today😌, probably not

Sanctum

Thanks for the chapter! Loving the new scheduled releases. Thanks for your efforts!

Jeff McCulley

“ideally figuring out ways to speed up their recovery” Munching on the Primordial in 3…2…1…

ResidentCyborg

Sounds like Zac will have to use the void to pull in matter and energy from the cosmic sea :)

No manual gonna be rough
