Edgar Segura

9 by 8 is the 17 peaks. But nine is perfection. Like Zacs soul manual. 9 by 9 is 18. Chaos and void?

ItsFin

I going to guess that zach will use the attuned planets as his inner world

Lex Luther S

Cosmic forge will likely be a big part of zacs plans for monarchy but the issue is his current attainments into cosmic forge. I imagine zac would need the 3rd layer of the technique for it to be useful during the formation of his inner world and while zac made some real good progress when upgrading Loves Bond, that was also with a bunch of synthetic enlightenment thanks to the dead dao. Outside such an aide, it'll likely take zac years to reach the next stage and even then he'd have to spend time getting used to cosmic forges next stage before he'd even attempt using it for inner world formation. All that alone could take decades of dedicated research to reach that point and is likely one of zacs future research projects after ultoms trial. He'll need years to fully set his empire up wherever they're sent as well as deal with the fallout of the trial which will see zac have ample time to focus on Cosmic forge and other things. Especially since he'll have everything ready for Peak hegemony by the time the trial ends.

CURTIS ISBELL

I was rereading the parenial vastness journey recently where Zach came across the inheritance of the first people. The Cosmic artisan Dasorm said the following when Zach got the pick: "My creation is called [Cosmic Forge]. No matter your path, no matter the material. Everything can be refined by the Cosmos! At the highest level, the Cosmos itself can be refined. I wish you luck, inheritor!” Wouldn't an upgraded void bloodline provide tremendous suction and an upgraded forge understanding allow Zach to perfectly refine the Cosmos with his path/inner world?

RWS

Thanks for the Chapter. It's an interesting chapter, especially that last part. I wonder if this is why, when they were in the 8th Hell, the coffin with all those weapons stabbed on it, said, "You...returned." Bring on the next chapter already

Jeff McCulley

I think it…has a quantum space?

Jeff McCulley

I see what you did there. 👍

Michael

I imagine that Zac will still maintain the ability to split his bodies after he merges again. I think it’s unlikely he’ll hit monarch in the trail, but opening up his proto-space seems like a plausible step. Especially since no one else in the trail would do that, and it would give him a huge advantage.

Tartlet

Seems like having an inner world really sucks… 😀

Jeff McCulley

Here’s an issue for those of you who think Zaccis going to hit Monarchy here in the Trial. He plans to fuse his bodies back together at Monarchy, when he firms his Inner World. One body, and he wouldn’t be able to go to the Abyssal Shores and the Eternal Storm at the same time. He’s pledged to go with Tavza, so his sister would have to wait.

Jeff McCulley

Seems possible. One little problem I’m seeing is, if Zac wants to fuse his bodies back together at Monarchy, one would be at the Abyssal Shores, one at Sanctuary. I guess his Fuxi Moubtain Gate would fix that problem?

Jeff McCulley

I feel like that is a pretty big problem.

Kris Piskorski

hahahahaha I can totally see that happening

Lucas

One thing I thought with Monarchy around the corner was if Sanctuary plays some part in forming his inner world. Maybe, since the Technocrats obviously had a path laid out for him to basically break the System, they hid something in that place that would supplant a cultivation manual. That's why Leandra is so insistent on Zac completing that mission. Thoughts?

Markus

If Zac steals an inner world, it could be from the Eveningtide Asura, the Twilight Lord, Alvod Jondir. He is a life/death cultivator. The only problem is that he is a Autarch and his understanding is different than Zacs.

Jeff McCulley

Obvious option. Zac gets out of the Trial, and checks the Peak Monarch Merit Limited Exchange. There is an “Inner World, Perfectly Attuned To You”. Quantify:1 Cost: 17 million personal merit. Zac checks his merit total. After the Eternal Guardians’ rampage through the Kan’Tanu, he’s first place on the final leaderboard, and just happens to have 17,000,003 merit to spend. Completely coincidentally, of course.

Surgebinder

Doesn’t Zac’s core exist in some sort of quantum space? Wouldn’t that be where he would build his entire inner world ?

Tri Blankly

I think there's something to this! Maybie not as directly as using his stances to pull in materials, but, for a long time it has been hinted that in the past, experts merged every part of their cultivation into a singular monolithic technique that becomes greater than the sum of its parts, maybe he could do something like, Use his stances to teach void heart what matter to pull in, then his heart to make it perfect, and his soul to form to world, supported by his core? ... or something lol

Raymond Whitehead

This kinda points to the option of using Earth as Zacs inner world. Doubt it would be ideal without more refinement but a possibility if nothing else shows up

Bernhard

Before the introduction of the system monarchs were called void Herald so it is the same just an older name

Kaladin

What's a void herald and how do they relate to advancement (monarch/autarch) and their path/peak (Void, elements, etc)

Pascal Kwizera

I think the idea is that the materia is perfectly attuned. That means no sequela or tainted material. I am guessing that all cosmic materia are capable of perfectly tuning with their corresponding dao, which would be essential for when you create your ladder to the heavens.

John

I’m confused. Tavza says the materia of the cosmic sea is unattuned, but Zac is also worrying about pulling the correct materia to him?

Shivam

The Technocrat methods would probably require installing actual technology in the body. A path Zac is unlikely to take. There is the Sindris clan too, which has been trying to use Void to replace technology, this may actually help Zac. Anything Kayar-Elu would be Machine God aligned ,meaning requiring to to turn the body into a machine or cultivate a Dao of Civilization.

Jeff McCulley

Hah! I *thought* that the “EIGHT Hells” was a bit of f*ckery! Now Tavza confirms it!

Jeff McCulley

I suspect that Iz was expecting her gramps to resurrect the Monarch that died getting her free. Still, she’s showing some consideration for her subordinates. And learning to relate to others’ subordinates with Carl. With a janitor.

Jeff McCulley

Hope!

Jacob

I've got a fun idea. What if Zac uses his fighting stances in place of a manual. Currently we don't know all the details on how a manual pulls in material, so maybe performing his fighting stances, to show his path will work. Any thoughts?

Owen Stevens

Maybe he can siphon energy from the world core. But I don't see Zac devouring the entire planet for his own cultivation. It doesn't suit his path or morals.

Jonas Lemke

I smell some POV chapters coming

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Tomer Yud

I love this story so much

Siethrobo

Well an early inner wolrd is only supposed to be big enough for like 100 people. He'd be one he'll of a monarch if he puts a full size planet in there

B-Slam

I think Zac's duplicity core will act as the cultivation manual. It has acted as one for everyone of Zac's d grade breakthroughs so far. He needs to complete his mothers mission so he's in control of the process though.

Lizy Flore

The Primo of the past, not the present primo

Tommy

I definitely got lost in the fight with Mox! The Primo was there?!? Huh? I gotta reread lol

Sean

He’s gonna use Ensolus as his inner world right?

Lizy Flore

Dungeon Diving ?

Michael

Seems convenient that Zac happens to have a life/death planet in his empire.. Seems like he could spend a bunch of merit points from the war and eat Ensolus for his inner world

Andrew

Thank you!

M💬

A fun observation on how any important character that are Zac's peers in generation, when they interact with Zac its like their personalities change... Ogras from not truly caring about his subordinates as long as his goal is acheived to now where he fights for his people to some extent. Same for IZ the little POV we got that she lost a subordinate showed she started caring and it was no longer if they were fated or not ( I might be misunderstanding this part). Then there is Tavza and she's been more animated which is just interesting. Also, why does Ogras always get tangled up with Zacs companion. nice chapter.

Indy

Till now i thought that a manual is just a very fancy book/etc. now im not longer sure

Alexander Dupree

Realm diving is such a cool name for an activity

Taylor Greenwell

Alright, dumb question but I have done a re-listen of the whole series and didn't find an answer. Is a cultivation manual a literal physical manual? Or is it just information that the cultivator memorizes and they use that information to do the steps it call out to siphon the energy? Or is it something completely different?

Lex Luther S

Ohhhhh boy the run down and twab for a breakthrough to monarchy is finished so now its finally time to get to exploring. Mox is toast so zac can now finally get some new opportunities for his human side. Still, the worries for monarchy remain, which is why finishing his mother's mission might just be the opportunity for a method he needs. Afterall, the technocrats definitely have some interesting ideas zac wouldn't be able to think of.

Evan Therrien

Wonder if Zac’s recent whole system cultivation thing he made with his last seal will help at all when he goes after monarchy. Act almost like a cultivation manual.
