I'm trying to figure out a new way of drawing people, so I've been taking reference photos of myself and pulling stuff from Pinterest -- I'm trying to do daily anatomy studies following the advice of this video. I'm just a bit bored?? with how I draw people, and I haven't really stretched out of my comfort zone yet, but I feel like getting comfier with the fundamentals of how human bodies are put together might make style experimentation a little less daunting (the photo of me holding the broom is for a piece I'd love to draw for my sorcerer Delilah, cause she's got kinda feral unhinged energy. my undereye circles in that photo are WILD HAH)
been going on lots of pikmin walks!! I usually don't go much longer than 30-40 minutes, but I'm trying to get over 4000 steps a day rn!! and going on walks with friends helps a lot :') been going on a lot of walks with my friends sien, oly, and gem <33 my friend code is 053037996532 if you wanna add me!
on one of said walks, we saw these WILDDD clouds from capitol hill! so wavy!!! so cool!!!
I also saw this bunny that was sat so still I fully thought it might have been a statue?? but it looked too fluffy to be fake? I was staring at it for a minute and it didn't budge so ¯\(ツ)/¯
I've started moving my shop over to Shopify!! once I get moved into my studio, I'm gonna be opening up my secret shop again, but I'm also toying with selling some merch again...I wanna make desk mats and journal stickers again (maybe keycaps????? *u*), but also I'm waiting to hear back from a fulfillment company that I applied to work with, so!! it'll depend on what they say, cause I can't handle fulfillment by myself anymore. regardless! my secret shop will be returning soonish, I'm grateful for your patience <3
I'm also toying around with potentially selling some one-off goods, like my little granny pencil pouches or original paintings or things. i might keep those exclusive for y'all tbh heh cause the quantities would be VERYYY limited
I made a little square pouch to try and figure out my process for my crochet zipper pouches (cause i want to record a tutorial for them), and then I made a bigger rectangle pouch that i was much happier with. I actually ended up using liquid stitch for most of it (which felt a lil blasphemous heh) and it made the process waaaAAY quicker
but then I thought that I really do need to just suck it up and get used to using my sewing machine, so I found this tutorial yesterday, and stayed up way too late making this cute blue floral pouch. it looks really neat, and I really liked the addition of the zipper tabs?? so I want to incorporate those into my crochet pouches...more troubleshooting awaits!!
I also got this lil Canon Powershot A580 off Ebay, bc my friend Sien got a free Powershot from a neighbor and I was jealous cause it seemed so fun and carefree lol and I really like it! It has a tendency to really overexpose stuff, and the internal date battery is dead, but I'm still messing around with settings, and ordered a new lithium battery so I can get the cute little date stamps on my powershots :') I also got a handy SD card reader that plugs straight into my phone, so I can very easily put the photos on my phone!! Yahoo!! i feel like it offers me a level of freedom when it comes to taking pics that I don't really give myself when shooting with my phone or my big Sony cameras, so I'm excited to bring this around in my day to day <3
I also really like this little framed sketch, which I think is going to become my April postcard...we'll see!!

your old grid rule notebooks are some of my absolute favorite, I'd love to see a revamp of those!! I use mine as a planning notebook/sketchbook for stardew and minecraft

eeeep i'm so excited about the secret shop!! i would also LOVE some bespoke items. as much as i love dipping my toes into multiple hobbies all at once (classic ADHD, i know yall get it hahaha) i can NEVER manage to finish anything!! also i would DIEEEEE for a desk mat/mouse pad/any decor things of your art!!! Have you ever taken a figure drawing class? I haven't taken one since college and am kind of itching to take one again! I loveeed my college class—it's a great way to see different bodies/postures and play around with different sketching techniques. I remember we did a lot of rapid-fire sketches/poses which was very chaotic and fun! This is obviously a very literal way to think about drawing the human form—but it could get some wheels turning? Who knows! And one of my first digital cameras was the Canon Powershot A620 and now I'm feeling like I need to buy one IMMEDIATELY.
