I'm glad you didn't get the plantation house in NC, because, you know...slavery. On another note, have you ever looked into the symptoms of ADD? A lot of women and girls don't get diagnosed because the medical field uses white, straight men as a default and the rest of us often fall through the cracks. I just figured I'd suggest it because a lot of what you describe (being scatter-brained, having poor memory, having lots of anxiety, having hard times with social interaction, and kind of focused on perfectionism) seem to fit into the spectrum.

Your cats will always find you. I have a huge house (like comedically big, complete with an indoor pool, its ridiculous...) they keep tabs on me. If you get concerned, open a can of food, they'll teleport to you immediately. You can also leave a cardboard box in a central location, they'll be powerless to resist it.

Hello from Australia... I’m with you Christine, even though I’m a teacher and spend most my days being super ‘out there’ and social I could easily spend my life at home with hubby, my mini human (miss Antonia), Miss Hildegard (our little kitten) and Colonel Brandon (our bubba whippet). Last year and January this year we had to let all our very old fur babies cross the rainbow bridge... Mr Biggs (an old Tom cat) Mr Willoughby and Mr Darcy (whippets both) and yes it was heart breaking... there are some connections that are so inexplicably strong! Your painting has inspired me to immortalise my passed fur babies. Thank you!

I am totally going to try my hand at this. I have been looking for a way to redo my backyard. And I bet I could make those window boxes for the sides of this, as there is nowhere in my mainly rock backyard that I could grow anything. I can relate to that, I lived in London near Whitechapel and the house was know to be haunted, actually we google the address and it show up in a lot of paranormal activities websites. So every time we hear noises in the kitchen we said - oh it most be the ghost! After a few months It turn out we had mice 🐁 XD

I enjoy your real-ness. You didn’t tiptoe around why you don’t want kids and I applaud that so much. To want one to share common interests and life goals with is not selfish, it’s amazing to want a bond like that. When you said “I’d have no use for them” I snickered.. I never wanted kids and was told I couldn’t so silly me wasn’t being careful.. wheee- fun! Now I have 3. The first wasn’t planned bc obviously I know how kids are made so it wasn’t like “oh it won’t happen again”.. the last two were my husbands want. I love them dearly and I don’t know if it’s awful to say out loud, but some days I wonder who I would be or where I would be had they not come about.. they do make life interesting - they’re all teenagers now so ... but I just really enjoy your truths. Christine! Regarding keeping track of your kitties... we got a "Whistle 3" gps tracker for one of our dogs who ran away recently. If you search Amazon, you can find GPS tracking collars for your animals and see where they are at all times, from your phone! You can also get notifications if they're close by or they leave the house.

But she was VERY lazy rescue kitten my dad brought home when I was 18 months old fitted with a big prosthetic hip she never grew into. She didn’t stray or hunt likely because of that.
