Fortnum and Mason as an extremely posh provisions shop in Piccadilly, London. They do beautiful afternoon teas. Their food is lovely.
Sarah
Woo Quebec shoutout! Oui on parle français ici :))
Lindsay Cahill
I'm late to the party, but re your question about a trans Atlantic crossing with fancy dresses--- Cunard's Trans Atlantic Crossings! The Queen Mary and the QE II. its the only passenger oceanliner in the world. The wintertime crossings are cold and rough, if you're going for the more "titanic" experience
Carolinian Classroom
re tinsel: we have really pretty victorian tinsel from Lee Valley here in Canada- its reusable tinsel that you hang individually and is twisted silver metal that reflects light beautifully.
Amanda Nikolov
Yes to bath time ritual and cleaning! And there's a Titanic exhibit in Orlando, FL with a replica of the grand staircase and you can dress-up for the "Dinner Gala": https://titanicorlando.com/
Melody Pilotte
I am using Duolingo to relearn a couple of languages I already speak and brush up on diction and pronunciation for a couple of others (I am an opera singer). I have to say, in the two languages I already knew (one of which I was fluent in for most of my life), I am completely lost!!!! I need to know who made that course, because I want to talk to them. hahahaha!
Julia
Yes on Cassandra 🖤
Linda
When I learned Spanish I practiced by writing Spanish letters to a friend!
Humaira
I love that you're learning a new language! I started brushing up on my native language this year (Urdu) and it's been such an enjoyable experience.
Brandi Dukes
I also use Duolingo. I completed the Finnish course, and now I am brushing up my Spanish. Next language will be Italian and/or brush up my French.
Caitlín Carrigan
I so wanted to scream at the screen to add me on Duolingo. Lol! I've given myself the challenge of maxing out both French and German (took both in school). On top of that, I've learned a pretty decent amount of Russian on there, and I've barely scratched the surface. Anyway! Add your name so we can add you! :P
Bianca Ramirez
Are you documenting your progress on youtube? so we can see ☺
Janie Monares
I bought an 1865 Victorian mansion a few months ago that I’m restoring. It didn’t have a kitchen so the original owners used a smokehouse on the property. We had to build the entire kitchen. You can see the restoration progress on my Instagram at orrmanor and my Facebook at “Orr Manor in Jonesville Virginia” My house looks like the Psycho house. 😂😂 It’s creepy cool and very active with three ghosts.
Danielle Hughson
Absolutely yes on a bathtime cleaning/ ritual! Great idea. So excited for the upcoming wallpaper and kitchen designs.
Charlotte Gautier
Finally caught up with this livestream! Would LOVE to see this bathroom! I saw some people were asking for old-timey/victorian renovation youtube channels recommandations, I so happen to have started one a few months ago that you guys might enjoy. Just gonna leave that here: CG - Decoration & Atelier (not a lot on there just yet, but more to come)
Michelle Ford-Copley
YES! a bathtime ritual!
trish mccoy
You need to do an episode with Cassandra Peterson. Not as Elvira though. Just herself with you. chatting away. I also think another good episode would be you and your captive together having people ask him questions while you answer for him :) heeheehee that would be so cute and funny.
Michelle Ford-Copley
yes the puppy stage is hard on everyone but once the pup is spayed/neutered they will be fine I am sure.
Shelby Snow
How to take a Christine bath tutorial!
Andie C
I also have a strong connection to the Titanic. We should have the movie as the April live stream. The costumes are beautiful.
Mariana Escobedo
Please do the bath ritual episode!!!!
Tracy Thomson
Fun fact: My Second Cousin, three times removed, was Hudson Allison. He, his wife, daughter, son (baby) and maid were first class passengers on the Titanic. Only the baby and the maid survived. I have visited the grave/monument in Chesterville Ontario (where he was born and where my mother's family, last name Allison, is from). My birthday is April 15th, 1:15 am. I believe the Titanic sank around that time or a little after (in 1912), having been struck by ice on the 14th. I of course, was not born in 1912 :), but even long before I found out about the connection, I had always been intrigued by that disaster as though it has been personal to me. His story is on Wiki but my sister did a family tree a number of years back which is how I know where he and I fit in relation to one another on that same tree. Loved the episode Christine, and wishing you, the Captive and all your followers a Very Happy New Year!

Just catching up with the Livestream! Hope you guys are recovered from being boosted and had a fun holiday. That was me w/ the "How to Reno a Chateau..." rec. Been going down that rabbit hole too. I love their sense of humor & how cinematic their videos can be sometimes.
Megan Eppel
Loved catching up on the live stream - I hear you on the chimney costs/fixes. We just had to have our one chimney redone on our old house and it was $$. Luckily we just have the one and the boiler vents through the same otherwise it would have been even more.
Alexandra Conrad
I'm just now getting to this livestream! I'm late :) I'm sitting at my table with a giant Jack Skellington mug full of hot cocoa with Irish Creme in it and my sketchbook prepped to draw, sip, and listen! :) Happy Holidays, everyone!
Valhalla
Maria-Luis794878 in case anyone wants to be my duolingo friend. We can hype each other up :)
Katelynn VanGrinsven
You can play the hidden object games on a pc or laptop. My husband is a gamer and I haven't really gotten into them. His mom showed me the HOS games and I love them. You follow the story and and uncover the mystery or story through puzzles and well... hidden object games. lol That might be something to look into. The games are getting harder to find. FYI Also if you look up on YouTube and Instagram, follow Dandy Wellington. Him and his band are doing a cruise from the UK to New York. I don't remember when. He's a part of (or founder) the #vintagestylenotvintagevalues community. I think you would love it. If you can go.
Maggie Walsh
I’m so annoyed with myself for forgetting and missing this, but gosh it is the *most* pleasant and comforting thing to watch back💖
Kimberly H.
I am also having eye surgery in a couple weeks. Cataract in my right eye. Have been told it is straightforward, but …. I an anxious nonetheless.
Kimberly H.
Aarrgh!!! I must come to terms with the fact that I will never make these live things when they are live….😔 I love the idea of a yearly ornament made from the previous years tree trunk. A tradition that could become classic! Have you heard of Teakwood Builders? Located in Saratoga Springs.
miz vitko
I think she said Fortnum and Mason, a British brand. Tres shmancy, must be very good quality.
miz vitko
Happy Birthday, belatedly!
Marsha Umek
Dec. 30th was my 63rd birthday and I missed the live stream, but I am watching it today.
Marsha Umek
Spoonflower in Durham, North Carolina prints fabrics and wallpapers. You can even design your own and have it printed to sell. I have purchased several different fabrics from them and they are very well done. You might want to try them to print your wallpaper. They have reasonable prices.
Christine Basile
Maybe this guy in Rochester? https://www.rochestersubway.com/topics/2015/09/scott-grove-working-on-powers-building-rochester-ny/
Elizabeth Cherry
you could also reach out to local historical societies to find a contractor who specializes in Victorian restoration. :-)
Theresa Adams
Hi Christine, sorry about the above. Computer has a mind of its own. I just wanted to say Happy New year from Camano Island, Wa.! Love the house and had to work so missed the live stream but always good to catch up. Hope you have a lovely holiday!
Theresa Adams
Hi c
Mina Murray
Christine, I can recommend a good contractor! He specializes in restoring Victorians and has a lot of experience with kitchens.
Sarah Kane
Just watched, so there is another Belfast Sarah out there somewhere in the Christineosphere. Hi!
Kelly (Nellas)
I’m watching it now..I was unable to watch it live and it got really choppy….
Kelly (Nellas)
Did anyone notice, when Christine was telling her ghost story the feed got really choppy??? 👻
Racheal Jones
Super excited about you designing and selling wallpaper!!
Jennifer Urrea
I also am not one for video games but I did enjoy Gone Home, it’s a walk through video game and this one of the Titanic. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Gpc1XMupQ5I
Gigi
I also decided to learn a language this year, spanish! I took it multiple years growing up but never became fluid. I have been using Duolingo too bc the free version is still pretty good. Also, Mango is another app I downloaded through my library, which is really good. Some libraries will also have subscriptions for Rosetta stone, but there tends to be a waitlist
Jessi Griffin
You should try the game Rime! It’s all discovery, magic, and exploring the ruins of a lost civilization. There’s no fighting.

I adopted a 14 year old shitz shu mix in July. Don't know if he was around cats in his previous home but he and my cats get along just fine. They like to nap together. I am truly sorry that you had a traumatic experience. But, adopting a senior dog or cat is always worthwhile Arthur Buttons is a cutie.
Alaskan Rock Vodka
Fantastic update C. Thanks a bunch for a year of creation and fun. Happy New Year wishes to you and the Captive for 2022 from Sydney 🥂
Jenny McKinsey
I'm sure the eye surgery will go perfectly! Sometimes the worst things in life are when certain big (or scary) events are just hanging in midair. I've helped my husband and mother through multiple big surgeries and the waiting for those to come and pass was the hardest part of those! They of course recovered beautifully as will you. Also I wanted you to know that as an artist, you have inspired me to paint and draw again (after a lengthy years long break... long story). Thank you for that, and thank you for also bravely paving the way for other artists to be bold with their work-through that we see on Patreon that the world has wonderfully opened itself to artists now like never before. It's truly wonderful to see! Sorry for the rambling-just wanted to say thanks to you, Christine, and all of the wonderful patrons out there and wish you all a very happy (and healthy) 2022!
Jenny McKinsey

We use metal tinsel like this: https://www.pietersmatinworks.com/product/victorian-christmas-tree-tinsel-handmade-tin-icicle-ornaments/ All the sparkle and shine of tinsel with none of the danger! Our cats will bat at them sometimes but we've never had any problems.
Andrea Fordham
TV on and off is a paranormal thing. It is what convinced my husband that we had a ghost.
Andrea Fordham
When you talked about ghosts it went out but it is ok now
Letha Anderson
It’s a good jumping off point, but the quality of language instruction varies between languages, I found :/ Bonne chance (good luck)! Also, when COVID is no longer such a thing, I have heard that the Christmas Markets in Montreal (Quebec) are LEGENDARY and oh so festive! Maybe for next year, eh? I was an exchange student for a bit in Quebec and dialectical differences aside, it is a lovely place. Highly recommend!
Judy
What brand of hot chocolate are you using?

To Deb McGrath: Thank you so much! I've wanted to watch Christine on my TV, but couldn't figure out how. I do not have premium Youtube, but your method works without it. Snuggling on the couch and loving it! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Deb McGrath
I found out how to do a lot of things on my TV and computer during the last livestream address. Maybe this can also help some other people. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have premium YouTube so I don't have to deal with commercials. 1. How to watch it on your TV while the livestream is going: Tap the screen on your tablet or computer so you see a "watch later" option in the upper right corner. Go to your YouTube app on your TV. Go to the furthest left column that gives you a list of options, scroll down and pick "Library". From there pick "Watch Later". Then pick Christine's livestream that you just put in there. 2. To be able to comment while watching on TV: Keep the live stream going on your tablet or computer while you are watching on the TV but turn the sound all the way down on one of them. I turned it down on my tablet because my TV has better sound. Now touch the screen on your tablet again and you will see the logo YouTube come on the screen. Touch that logo and it will take you to YouTube where you will be able to comment and Christine will be able to see you there. If you comment here on Patreon, she cannot see your post during the livestream. So this is how you can watch her livestreams on TV and comment at the same time. I hope this can help someone else. 😃
Alaina
Christine have you seen this adorable Sims recreation of, well... you!? I just came across it today. So cute! https://youtu.be/jughd_YzVt8

Mmmmm, hot cocoa! Just what is needed on a dreary day. Perhaps I will have to make some up, and pack a vintage thermos, with a tin of cookies, and take it with us for our graveyard photo shoot next week.

Yay! I'll finally be able to watch the livestream live. Hope everyone's been having a safe & warm holiday season!
