But you have black nail varnish 🖤

I'm so excited about the attic transformation episode!! I've always wanted to start a YouTube channel, but I can never muster the courage to film myself. I think having a beautiful background would motivate me. I can't wait to learn your tips and tricks! xoxo from North Carolina <3

Just a little tidbit, bat feces is actually the big worry. The spores from dried feces... histoplasmosis. Birds and bats actually. I have a pigeon we saved from a snow bank when she was itty bitty. I have to be very aware of her droppings and clean them quickly. I’d rescue a bat in a heartbeat ❤️
Sapphire Aguilera
Wow Your dress is amazing.
Sam Hussey
OH MY GOSH you are coming to Ireland😱😱😱😱😱
Jay Cee
My attitude to the creepie crawlies (I’m from Australia where most of the DEADLIEST creatures reside) is to live and let live when it comes to the FREELOADERS… however enter my personal space and it’s death from above!!!! ☠️☠️☠️
Claire Fern-Smith
If you come to the UK, you need to visit York and Whitby. There are lots of ghost walks you can do in York, the best one starts in a street called 'The Shambles'. We did this on our honeymoon and it was sooo much fun, and the guy who does it is really creepy and spectacular.
Amanda Albert
Late response, apologies but I’d totally be down for a Meetup in Syracuse.
Caroline
Meetup in Syracuse -- YES I will drive over from Boston for this! Also for antiquing in New England check out the Brimfield Flea in Mass (happens May, July, September).
Leandra
Ballygally Castle in Co Antrim (N Ireland) is supposedly haunted . . . and has a hotel. You'll have to let us know all the interesting places you end up visiting on your European sojourn!
Colleen Diane Sakane
My mom is from Schenectady, NY! It's not every day you hear that, so cool! <3
Vigor Mortis
Hi! I’m so happy to be here ❤️ a few recommendations! A lovely person above mentioned Ask A Mortician, Caitlin is incredible and knowledgeable, and is also the cofounder of the Order of the Good Death. It is a phenomenal resource. Second, if you ever come closer to New England for antique-ing, the Elephants Trunk Flea Market and the Stormville NY Flea Market are fantastic. You have to do a lot of sifting, but I have found true treasures every time. SO EXCITED for your upcoming projects!!
Bo Silves
Cemetry UK recommendation - Bristol Arnos Vale Cemetry. I hope you come to the South West when you visit the UK. A very Victorian style gothic cemetry, in one of the gorgeous buildings you can see some of the old equipment they used to use
Lyndsay Grimes
Yes!. Im in Schenectady NY. id love to do a meetup
Christine VanPool
Wish I had been there for this livestream. My 16 year son and I love your videos. Every October we decorate for Halloween and we try to make our living room and kitchen as spooky as we can. This year we are going to try to make some of the masks you made last year. He is looking forward to being uninvited to high school with his mask, lol. We love your creations!
Hannah
This was so beautiful its literally my favourite time of the month when you post your wonderful creations x
Erin C
A detailed model of your house would make an amazing bird house for the garden
Brandy Gunter
I'd love to see the wedding dress episode!!!
Jenny Vasquez
I’ll be at Midsummer Scream I cannot wait to meet you! 🌹
Diane plevelich
If your in London try to visit Highgate Cemetery. The West side is the oldest part and buying a ticket gets you both sides, but other than famous people buried in the East side, the more interesting graves are in the West side. Very old and quite creepy, worth the time and cost!
Caira L Archer
Ooh, Christine you should paint the ceiling of your seance room/widows walk to be the night sky at the moment of your birth.
Karri Thompson
You need to watch Bentley House Miniatures on YouTube. She makes amazing miniature houses. She is making a miniature Beetle Juice house, and you could use her techniques to make a miniature of your house.
Sara Sweeney
if you’re interested in visiting Northern Ireland I would recommend the Bushmills Inn in bushmills, it’s in a tiny ancient town that’s a few minutes from Giant’s Causeway and also not far from the Dark Hedges where game of thrones was filmed. There’s so many beautiful coastal towns and historical sites. Or, the Slieve Donard hotel in Newcastle, Co. Down. The hotel is old and creepy, and the town is so beautiful with views of the mountains. It’s kinda out of the way but it’s not far from Belfast (the capital), where you can visit where the Titanic was built!
Taylor Makenzie
I'm trying to talk my husband into going to Midsummer Scream! I would love to get to meet you♡
Lacie Fazio
Can’t wait to see you at Midsummer Scream!
Léonie Sableblanc
I suggest you check out Joolz guides for hidden London as he visits places not on the beaten path. Yes chocolate is Switzerland’s speciality. That and cuckoo clocks.
Melissa
I’m going to midsummerscream so excited can’t wait to see you there!!! 😍💀👻🦇
Zoe
It’s great! We visit each year 😊
Jana McDowell
We went to Ireland in November. We had a private driver that took us on a Castle tour. I think we stayed in six castles, and they were flexible to take us off route, if we had a request. One of my reuests was to go to an amazing cemetery. Can send you the company info, if you're interested. Will be at Midsummer Scream each day. Can't wait for what you have planned!
Jenna Homan
I would come to Syracuse from Ohio! Do it!
Rez NYC
Can’t wait to see this umbrella episode!
Meleah Barnes
Thank you maybe it was because I was using a phone?
miz vitko
I have that issue on one computer but not on another. If you know a techie, msybe they can explain how to get the live feed page to load with commenting enabled. Sorry not to be more help, I commented bc I know that issue exists, didn't want you to think you were doing something wrong.
Charlotte Meyer
When you step out of the room then come back in just as Christine is talking about buying 'organs' :-o
Jane Roser
I just got back from Italy! Rome was our favorite, but Pompeii was magical. We stayed one night in this old, quirky hotel in Florence near the train station that seemed stuck in time- the decor, furnishings, layout date back to the early 1900s I believe. I think you’d love it. https://hotelalbanifirenze.com/photo-gallery/
Wendy Ramsey
I’m in for Syracuse, just say when!
Jennifer Treviño
A friend of mine is in this season of Stranger Things! I’m so proud of her. 🥰
Tony Lawrence
Christine, I hope you get this message. I just saw on my Google news feed that they're opening up a pop-up Golden girls restaurant in July! With any luck it should be open by the time you come down for the convention. It's going to be in Los Angeles. I'm sure if you Google search I'm sure you will find the news feed that talks about it.
Tammy R Dowden
Wear pantyhose if you plan on doing a shoot lying in the grass. Ticks can't get through them!
Stephanie
You can catch wasps and carpenter bees in a butterfly net and do what you will to get rid of them.
Stephanie
… bees and wasps are highly intelligent and you can talk to them. They can read your intentions very well, so it's good to practice communicating to them, they will understand you. (I do kill a few bugs too, like carpenter bees that try to eat my 200 year old home)
Stephanie
Hi, Christine, to combat the mosquitoes we're leaving a few buckets of water in the yardd in which we've put "Dunks" which is a natural mosquito killer. I've put some wire baskets over them to make sure local animals don't try to bathe in it, although I don't think it will hurt them much if they happened to. Dunks are small disks of BT, a natural bacillus.
Stephanie
When I was in elementary school I drew a tombstone and promptly was suspended from school by the teacher who was easily spooked. The second time she suspended me, I'd called her 'stupid', lol. Mom forbid me from watching Dark Shadows, but my husband and I are making up for it by watching it now, lol! I keep telling myself that it's all right to take as much time as I need to finish my crafts and my videos. I only want to put out the best I can do, too. (sign, it's a worry sometimes)
Izile
FWIW - Black Widows (Northern) are native throughout NY (up to Canada) - probably just not in the same numbers or as close to people as the Western variety. But they're there!
Sufani Garza
Yes, Downton Abbey was awesome!
Christine Peterson
I'm thinking about going to Midsummer Scream! Please let us know when you have more details!
Sufani Garza
I'm going to MId-Summer Scream! Yay! Would love a little get together. Can we have a +1. I will be with my husband!
Johanna Varnander
I am usually not able to listen in on these livestream videos due to time zones - but I loved viewing this even afterwards :)
Victoria Elsom
Yes to the Beetlejuice house in the attic idea. I’ve been considering building a haunted doll house.
Killian Kincaide
Sounds like the attic will look like "The old house" on the original Dark Shadows!!!!!
Lisa Ames
YES Dress making and tailoring PLEASE!
Lisa Ames
christine I love the Syracuse Antique Exchange! I am in the Finger lakes will be there - say when!
Sohvi Suruisa
For anyone who might be interested, the tea set Christine used in this live stream is from Killstar. It is called "Midnight". As far as I am aware they don't sell it anymore, but they have other spooktacular sets!
Alyse Kiyuna
Post your Ireland itinerary after you get back with reviews!
Janaya
You should go to Romania one day. You can stay in Brans Castle in Transylvannia. They model it after Bram Stoker Dracula and you can spend a night there too!
Leah Rawdon
I'm so excited to see the widow's walk/seance room!
Martha Thursday
Christine! You will love Ireland, it’s where Halloween originated so it is made for you! Kinnitty castle is supposedly very haunted and you can stay there! 🎃
Tina Faulkner
I missed the livestream, so I'm glad I could watch it later. I've never been to Midsummer Scream. How have I lived in SoCal this long and never heard of it? It looks like a lot of fun! Vincent Price's daughter will be there...OMG! I won't be able to go both days so when you decide what day you want to do the patreon meet and greet, please let us know so the people that can make it can buy tickets accordingly.
Hanka Krausová
Hello Christine, I would like to recommend you Youtube channel called "Ask a Mortician" which I found recently if you like topics about death. The lady who represent the channel is very cool and I think you will like it :-) Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/c/AskAMortician
Lauren Laney
Christine so lovely to spend time with you! BTW I am a longtime lace knitter if you want a lace shawl from your kitty's fur once it gets made into yarn. I would need at least 1200 yards depending on which shawl you wanted.
Cathleen Murray
The most architecturally beautiful places to visit in England are Oxford and Cambridge (1 hour from London). Visit the Pitt Rivers museum in Oxford for curiosities, the Turf Tavern is the cutest pub, Botanic Gardens are great, Magdalen College and New College are beautiful to walk around. In Cambridge - visit the world-famous chapel at King's College (where I studied!). The famous ghost story writer M.R.James also studied there. You can take your mum punting along the River Cam. Both cities are just so beautiful and can be visited in one day each.
Cathleen Murray
If you visit the UK, you need to stay in The Witchery in Edinburgh (Scotland)! There's Edinburgh Castle, Carlton Hill and cemetery, and Arthur's Seat (an extinct volcano) in the centre of town.
Kristin Anne
Hello from Wisconsin!!
Tivis Mercer
Love the idea of an antique mall meet and greet in Syracuse!
Aurelie Suberchicot
I lived in switzerland for 3 years (Fribourg and La -Chaux-de-Fonds) and there are so many things to see... In Fribourg you might be interested by the Tinguely exposition. Very strange and crazy. And the Gigger Museum in Gruyere (creator of alien, sure you know it). And there is a little boutique in Fribourg with a lot of vintage jewelery and fabrics and cabaret closes (Rue des Alpes).
Maria L.
Christine, you can enable subtitles? :D
Anne Colitsas
I would die and go to heaven if you ever made a model of your house! That would be incredible and what an amazing thing to leave in the house for future inhabitants!
Carol Ann Michelle
Both you and your decor look exquisite! You leave no detail unturned. I love to look about the room. Even the lighting is magical. Thank you for all of your hard work in creating these videos! I look forward to the next! Love to All, Carol Ann in California 🌹
Kimberly H.
As usual, and from now on, I will assume it always will be this way, I did not make the live….very excited about your upcoming projects! I do nearly everything with my daughter…she has actually said I will never be rid of her and that is fine 💕 I murdered a giant spider when in England…it was 7 years ago, and I still feel horrible about it. I felt bad right after I did it….why did I do such a horrible thing? But it burst angrily over the window sill after we opened the kitchen window….it was huge!
Liana Palumbo
So excited for everything that's coming up. I think your attic will look AMAZING when you're done and your seance room, well that's a whole other level. It's funny when you said that you relate to children who like spooky things. My whole life I've been able to see and talk to spirits. When I was about 9 or 10 my parents got a priest in to bless our home and me😂I think they thought I was possessed or something. I'm very lucky that 2 of my children are into the same things as me. Have a great day Christine 💜💜
Bernadette Schmidt
I think you said you were going to England but I’m not sure. If you are, there is a Poison Garden in Alnwick Garden, north England. I believe there are about 100 of the world’s most poisonous plants in the garden for viewing. I think you would love that and I have also always wanted to go there!
Meleah Barnes
I did but no option for commenting comes on… or seeing the other comments
Dianna Porretta
You look lovely. The dress, necklace, the entire ensemble, even the tea set matches. "The Captive," sounds like a Keeper. !..
Dianna Hummel
look at a show called antique road show, I swear you antique Gramaphone was on one of the episodes.
Tiana Coats
I love the idea for the July episode! I am thinking of making a short horror movie and I am always interested in sets, lighting, etc.
Anna Radaelli
You look lovely in that dress!!! I am so excited about all you are doing!!
MecaniqueFairy

Angie
Hello from Magnolia, Tx!
Sophia Z
BTW I'm a yes for the antique store meet/greet.
Denise Pfaff
Christine, bat guano contains dangerous bacteria that can be deadly to humans. No exaggeration, you’ll need some serious mask protection cleaning your attic. Or a pro hazmat team. Please be very careful when you’re up there until the bats are removed and it’s sanitized.
Tania Susana
Someone corrected me, and I’m going to correct you. We’re not cheap, we’re Frugal.
Jenny Stocker
I went to Berg Island on my honeymoon!
