Will the color swatches be uploaded like the ones for the wallpaper? I would love to try this on my 1910 Victorian. I have lots of trim that needs work. I would love to see the color swatches

Chelsea Dreibelbis

I am starting to see why this room is such a huge project but already getting excited because that faux wood is absolutely gorgeous!! I can tell this room is going to be very extravagant! Can't wait

John Gardner

This looks amazingggggg

Cora Kathlea

she only used the folk art to come up with her initial colors, so its no worry considering she had actual wall paint mixed for the room itself.

Lady2kool

Perpetually impressed with your artistry and attention to detail 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Christine! You are so committed you're an inspiration. Right now I'm 7 months pregnant and have been working on improving my home since July.. It's like whack-a-mole. I do one thing and I spot something else I want to do. I went to paint my living room - now I've decided the ceiling in the hallway should be the same colour. But the plaster isn't perfect so the edges are rough.. now I'm installing coving in the hallway too.. I just got done with that. On to the next thing. Some days I honestly just want to say f*ck it 😂 and just give up, but your patience and fastidious approach to your huge, gorgeous house makes me think, you know what, I can tackle this apartment.

Amanda Williams

Golden is an affordable archival acrylic. Folk Art especially is just one that's known to fade faster than you'd want it to, which is fine for crafting and such.

Nysa Poe

Holy cow...that was amazing! 😱🐮

Casey Killoran

Incredible! Will be taking this with me to my dream home…someday!

Tina Higgs

Amazing! As usual :-)

Jane Good

Stunning. I love wood grain. How you were able to mimic the natural beauty of it is astonishing.

Tammy R Dowden

Incredible paintwork! I'm not surprised it came out so beautifully--look what you did with 100-year-old wallpaper!

Nora Dallaire

What would you recommend for this kind of work but without the possibility of fading? I mean, I hope that the enamel would protect it, but sunlight and time are definitely a powerful force.

Nora Dallaire

Honestly it's crazy perfectionist work you do on this home, but it's what it deserves. It's the details like this that take your every environment from nice to divine. It's the meticulousness and the dedication to honouring the house's history while still making it very very solidly your own that makes me adore this channel.

Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Smith-Clark

I have a fast question is the salamander on your sweater or is it an embellishment you created?

Amanda Williams

Love this!! Be careful with Folk Art paints. I've used those my whole life, but as a fine art painter, we don't use those for more permanent pieces because the color fades over time. Just a heads up!

Robin D.

You have such a great eye for this sort of project. It seemed like alot of work while I was watching the process, but in the end, so worth it! Beautiful!

Shelley Anders

Another beautiful project and this one I’m going to try in the little cottage we purchased this summer. Thank you Christine! Hope you are having a great Spooky Season so far 🎃

Antoinette du Bleumourant

This is the tutorial I was searching for and waiting for so long now! I live in a typical old building from 1900 in Berlin and there are some furnitures I have which I want to turn from IKEA white to wood. All I could find online was not satisfying Now I finally know how I can achieve this! Thank you so much 🥀 I also have a mango wood boho look paravent at home I would love to turn into a rococo (or victorian) paravent. Just in case you run out of inspiration one day 😁

Garitt Knotts

I loved seeing a part 1 of the room. Or even a preview!

Katie Bell

Everything you touch turns to gold Christine! Eagerly anticipating the big room makeover video to see it all come together 🖤

Hayley Roberts

I absolutely agree with your final point. I've gone in the opposite direction, from an older house full of character features to a newer house without features. It is so so much easier to add character to a newer house than restore character in an older house. Restoring things back to their former glory is such a meticulous process but you are the most meticulous person I have ever seen so you are the perfect owner for this house.

Iby Villalobos

Wow, absolutely gorgeous!

Kimberly Kline Design

Really Beautiful!!!

Sophia Santini

Wow that turned out beautiful!!

Toni

So many good ideas, Thank you!

Misery

Can’t wait to see the finished room 🤎

Stevie

Looove this! Will definitely be using this technique on my Victorian ceiling moulding 🖤 thank you Christine 🖤

Tahnee

Ah! No way! Thank you for letting me know! Do you happen to remember which LiveStream it was? I hope it's still available here. <3

Cariushka

Amazing! I love the gorgeous plaster accents and crown molding but it looks so much more amazing matching the other wood trim. Incredible. Thank you for 2 videos today! Rounding out my spooky October viewing! 🎃

Joan Bishop

This! Was the tutorial I didn't know I needed! Thank you! Looks amazing!

Rebecca Phelps

Wow. This is incredibly realistic, can't wait to see the rest!

Anna Wilson

Excited to see more of the work you've done and can't wait to see the room.

Maurice Waque

Omg! Thank you soooo much! I was just thinking about redoing my den and giving the styrofoam trimming a wood like finish. Thank youuuuu

Meredith Nuhn

This came out amazing! Thank you for sharing this as well as what you learned. I’ve been wanting to paint my bed (which is currently a very dark brown wood) and make it look more “casual” or “beachy” so I think this technique will be helpful. Thank you!!

Blondiewood

Christine did a livestream on her hair a little while back where she made hair extensions

Sara

I loved this! Can’t wait to see the completed room!🤩

Deb McGrath

I was trying to count how many times you went over the trim to achieve this result. You had three different colors, so, three times there. You warmed it up with a color wash, so that's four. Then you did two coats of polyurethane. I imagine you did some touch up in areas, but a conservative number is at least six. The amount of work and dedication you put in each project just blows me away!

Christine McConnell

Thank you so much Michelle! Ive been having a lot of fun with those paints lately :D

Tahnee

A bit unrelated, but I would LOVE to see a hair tutorial at some point in the future. I can't help but admire your beautiful, voluminous hair every time you post a new video!

Michelle Lofthouse

The wood graining looks AWEsome! The work and research you did with the spacing and direction of the sideways V's really paid off. I'm happy that you are not afraid to hand paint with the Createx airbrush paints. They really are versatile and durable. Thank you for another beautifully crafted episode Christine! And btw the Boston ivy just starting to turn on the outside of the house is exquisite.

Amber Noseworthy

Thanks for all your hard work! Love these episodes :)

Jane French

I would of swore it was wood, fantastic !

DesigningtheForce

I am the worst! I forgot Pateron was a thing! I kept paying though and luckily I am here before Halloween. Now its "Time to Catch Up with Christine McConnell"

I signed up for Patreon today and two videos were posted. How lucky? My husband and I are carving pumpkins later so that was perfect timing and the faux wood is incredible!

Kristell Havens

This came out absolutely beautiful 🖤

Melissa Harrington

Perfect way to start my day! I have painted trim in my dressing area in our 1909 home, and I am dying to get it back to it’s original state. All of the untouched wood in our house is so beautiful! I thought for a moment that this could be my answer, but I think this might be even more complicated for me than stripping decades of paint and refinishing! Lol I so wish I had your talent and patience Christine… you are always the inspiration! ❤️

Emily Schwall

Just finished the jack o' lantern episode!! On to this one!! Such a nice surprise to get 2 videos!!! Definitely getting me into the spooky spirit!
