There were actually 5 kings named Aegon, Aegon the Unworthy was the 4th, and they all have insane stories 😭 All named after Aegon the Conquerer

The Dornish waged guerilla warfare and used the landscape to their advantage - vs the other westeros territories. They also persisted and it probably helped that they allowed women to fight so more numbers

I think in general Dorne would be the place to live in the seven kingdoms. North comes second for how loyal the north men are to the Starks compared to other kingdoms with their overlords, but the weather sucks, so it's Dorne for me

We learned back in a previous season that Maester Luwin (Winterfell's maester who got killed by the Ironborn) was one of those rare maesters who studied the "higher mysteries." And even he thought that magic had disappeared from the world entirely, so he didn't believe Bran's dreams about the Three-Eyed Raven were significant.

Yeah you need to own land to found a house. Common folk don’t own land, they work the lands of their lords, so they don’t have houses or last names
