Gojo is a teacher, he's in charge of the first years. He only used to teach Megumi but now he will be teaching Itadori and the new girl you guys will meet. Don't worry about the power system too much they'll explain it as they go.

Japan does 3 years of high school rather than 4, in most cases. So there will be first, second, and third years. Gojo is in his late 20s, he’s a teacher.
