they have and even varys did kind of mentioned it in the history and lore but not rly expound but he said that their grandmother was a targaryen. lord ormund baratheon, roberts grandfather, was married to princess rhaella targaryen during aerys ii father’s reign. after the fall of aerys ii line. robert and his brothers were the last of the targaryen family in westeros

Robert - and all of the Baratheons - have Targaryen blood. The Baratheons are descended from the Targaryens -- it was brought up in a previous history and lore (S1, maybe?). They're all descended from Orys Baratheon, who was a bastard brother to Aegon the Conqueror, and the first Baratheon to rule Storm's End after winning it in battle. And although I don't think this is ever mentioned in the show, Robert/Stannis/Renly also have a Targaryen grandmother. Robert's direct ties to House Targaryen are why his claim to the throne was SOMEWHAT justified by blood, and not just by conquest.

most of the targaryens have valyrian names but some of them have andal names as well. jofferey is an andal name.
