Totally agree about Larys. She should have ended him there. He's a kinslayer, proven sneak and too ambitious.

Laena mentionned I think earlier in that episode that she wants to die a dragonrider's death and not in a bed at old age (or something Im paraphrasing), so she knew she was going to die in childbirth as the baby wasn't coming (so whether she got the c section or just waited it out she would have died) so she chose a dragonrider's death by her dragon's fire! :)

As far as I can guess Laena didn’t want others making decisions for her life like they did for Aemma. She wasn’t going to live anyway cause the baby was stuck, and a C-section is basically just death with extra steps in this age.
