Modding Diary - Active Lamaze Class Quick Update

This week I added some moodlets to the "Offer support" Interaction

Each Sim will get one of 5 interactions:
And the rest of my week (besides learning python) was spent looking into active Lamaze classes. I do think it's possible to make it an active event as of right now. I have decided to host the classes at the hospital instead of the gym, because I feel it makes more sense this way and the gym is way too busy which might become very laggy if I were to summon even more sims for the class.🥲
I think I will make the class function similar to the yoga mat, so that when you arrive at the hospital, you need to place down an object and select "start Lamaze class" and it will summon an instructor who will guide the class members through a number of routines.
I spent yesterday and today trying to summon sims in pairs(pregnant sims and their partner), and I finally got it to work. But of course when I try to do it at the hospital it became ✨ no worky ✨again. Im fairly confident this is fixable so I am not too worried.
Next week I will need to fix this bug, and do a quick test to see if I can indeed make the interaction function like the yoga mat while keeping it BGC, and if it does I will begin working on the animations, which I am very excited about! 😉

Hi, in order for your sims partner to stay and participate in the birth you must ask them to “ask to accompany child birth” before your sim starts giving birth. If you just invite them to the hospital, they will most likely walk away and not participate in the birth.

SAME! It's become rather pointless to invite the partner to the hospital during labor. They either walk away or they just don't participate in the process.
I was wondering if anyone else was having a problem with partners not being supportive during labor and constantly walking away? It might be a mod conflict, I am not sure. Thank you

You should totally add a chance for a angry moodlet titles "Get off!" Whenever the spouse tries to comfort the laboring sim, there is a chance for this reaction. Some people hate physical touch when they are in pain!

Of course you went above and beyond! These interactions already look SO sweet and heartwarming, I can’t wait to see them in game “live”. I was wondering about the Lamaze classes if it will be required for your pregnant sim to bring someone along with them? What if your sim is single and has no family or friends? Also can they not be romantic in nature?
