Modding Diary - Quick Update

Hi Guys! Hope you all are well!
I will just be doing a quick update this week as I don't have a lot to show. I spent most of my week experimenting with the active lamaze class, some of you may remember that I ran into an issue last week where I couldn't get couple sims to spawn at the hospital. I was fairly confident it was fixable at the time, and of course it turned out not to be the case 😩I tried all kinds of debugging and still couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. Before I knew, most of the week has already gone by. I wanted to still have something to show you so I started working on the "Practice Breathing " animation yesterday and today.
Practice Breathing is an interaction that the pregnant sim can do either alone or with a partner, this interaction will become available once your sim has gone to at least one lamaze class. and it can also be used during labor as a form of pain management.
This animation is about 30% finished right now :
the partner sim will stand behind the pregnant sim
they will sit on the ground
the partner sim will gently squeez the pregnant sims shoulder and stroke their back as they breath together
and that's all I have for now.
Im going to spend another day looking to the issue again next week, but if I still can't figure it out I will have to look into Plan B, which is to have all NPC lamaze members show up to the class without a partner. if that somehow doesn't work either then the lamaze class will just be a rabbithole, and your sims can practice what they've learned at home.

I love this! Please take your time! :D I was wondering, would it be possible to have Sims make a formula bottle while wearing the infant in the carrier? I'm not sure what would all go into making that happen, so I'm sorry if that would be asking for too much 😅

Hey Panda. :) That sounds really stressful and frustrating. I'm sorry that this doesn't work out the way you would like, but I want to tell you that you don't have to stress yourself out. Take your time, do what you enjoy. Modding shouldn't turn into work. You don't have to post an update every week. I also have no problem waiting a little longer. Try to relax. I was wondering , if you can make the Lamaze classes an event instead . Where we can invite other couples or whoever to join the class. Pick our own instructor place etc.. Just as maybe another option Thank you for all your hard work I appreciate you 👍🏽😊

Of course! If they’ll spawn on more general lots I think I wouldn’t be the only one who likes the idea of a comfier birth and class setting! And you have enough on your plate without having to build the lot too.

I appreciate you offering to make a build for me 🥺 They won’t spawn on any of the lots that came from get to work, but they can spawn on residential lots, the gym and the beach. I’m gonna do more testing next week to see if there’s more commonalities.

Is it just the hospital where they don’t spawn? If they’ll spawn on other lots I actually wouldn’t be against a birth center where sims can go to classes, get work and paps and give birth. hell, I’d build it for you to release with the update.
