First of all for those of you who are having troubling getting a llamaze instructor to show up with the latest update of the childbirth mod:
I believe there is a conflict between the llamaze table and the yoga mat which is causing the glitch for some players. ( not all players who have yoga mats will experience this glitch)
1. go to the lamaze class and save the game.
2. try clicking on "hire an instructor" again, if they are still not showing up go to step number 3
3. Go through your entire hospital and delete any yoga mats you may have on the lot, if you think you don't have any yoga mats, bulldoze the lot just to be sure and try hiring an instructor again. If the instructor is now showing up it means you did have a yoga mat. load your save and look again until you find it.
If somehow the instructor is still not showing up even after you bulldozed the lot then please leave a comment or send me a message
An update is coming next week to address this issue and remove the conflict with the yoga mat.
Now, what have I been up to?🥸
This past week I spent most of my time learning python again, some of you might recall that I have been wanting to make a NICU update, and to do so I need custom scripts.
Because normally when you try to give birth with a new bassinet (something that is not a bassinet override)
everything would seem normal until after the naming screen
at which point your baby will disappear and you are left with a LE
but with the help of scripts you will be able to add new bassinets to the game without any issue
In order to make the NICU update I need to be able to put sims babies into what essentially is a CC bassinet that looks like a baby incubator. Right now the vast majority of CC bassinets exist in the form of bassinet overrides. Meaning to get a new bassinet you need to override one that already exist in the game. The reason you can have infinite amount of new couches or tables but only limited options of bassinets is because bassinets are kind of a special objects, there is a special file in the game that says only x amount is allowed to exist. For those cc bassinets that does not override a bassinet in the game (such as the New Cradles Set), they are done by overriding the special file that tells the game how many bassinets are allowed. However the problem with overriding this file is that if you have multiple creator doing the same thing then only one of the overrides will be accepted by the game, and if the sims team ever decides to update this file then your outdated override will cause issue in your game.
However if you use script, you'll be able to add infinite amount of new bassinet while avoiding conflicts with other mods.
Does this mean I've figured it out??
No not really. With the help of Lot51 and Ren I now have a working script that gets 40% of the job done. and I have been trying to figure out the remaining 60%. Frankly I am having a great time learning scripting, but occasionally I get hit with a sudden sense of panic that I'm taking too long😵💫. I want to spend at least another week just to work on this script, if I can't figure it out by the end of next week I will then work on something else.
Speaking of which, what would you like me to work on for the next update if I can't get the NICU to work?
Active midwife career seems to be the most popular option last time I had a poll, but I'd like to hear what you guys think!

I battled with upgrading for the last 2 months. I gave birth to my first born at 25 weeks and 5 days. We were in the NICU for 6 months and he was released home on a ng feeding tube and eventually had a peg feeding tube surgically placed. We dealt with so much in the NICU in addition to the jaundice, and collapsed lungs you included. He passed away in 2021 at 14 months and I would give anything to see him grow up. I can now imagine his life here through the Sims thanks to you. I don't know how my mental will be but I'm looking for the link now to download preemies.

You are absolutely amazing!! I would love to see doctor or nurse interactions and progressions of the babies health. For example they move from a, incubator to a baby warmer when they get bigger.
