SimlyLuv_BrittAriel

LOL "drinking lighter fluid" had me cackling!! but I am so excited for this! you really are amazing!

Tena Hankins

I love this you are so awesome 👏 😎

Gem

No worries, if there's any other input I can give from the perspective of a student midwife feel free to message :)

Jennifer Chambers

Well, you’re smarter than most of the docs I work with! lol!

PandaSama

Im definitely going to look into clinicals!

PandaSama

Thank you so much 🥰I do not work in health care, but I have always spent a lot time doing research since I started making the childbirth mod

PandaSama

Thank you so much Mirja :))

PandaSama

I love the idea of doing clinical!

PandaSama

I will ask her to see if we can make it compatible!

PandaSama

omg I love this!! Im definitely gonna be making it!

PandaSama

I love all of these suggestions!!

PandaSama

hii!! right now im only making the midwife's career, but i can certainly look into a nursing career in the future! i dont plan on making the mod modular yet, mostly due to the difficulties in mod support that comes with modular mods. but Im pretty sure the nursing/midwife update wont conflict with other career/university mods

PandaSama

This is very helpful! thank you!

PandaSama

hi, no it will be the same mod

suzysim

will this be a separate mod from birthing mod? (sorry if stated else where, I don't see it)

Trish

I think it would be cool to assist with births, and do vitals. Also in school some lab-type work would also be cool. What about a traveling sonogram machine? It would also be cool to help out with other types of women's health and birth control options. :-)

Don't feel bad about "boring" - even though I enjoy the University EP the class part is commonly acknowledged to be a grind. If you want to borrow from Uni, writing papers is an easy activity. Otherwise I am personally always a fan of rabbithole work choice pop-ups that increase/decrease work performance. You want to get real fancy, come up with a dummy momma CC item sims can use to practice delivering babies, hooking up pitocin, giving shots on, etc.

Gem

Oh we also practice taking observations at home: blood pressure, pulse etc, I often practice on my partner lol. I've also practiced vaginal suturing at home with a suturing kit, maybe that's something nursing students could buy?

Gem

Just some ideas if you're struggling with making nursing school more interesting, here are some things I do regularly at the moment as a midwifery student: - Be on call for births (idk how you could implement this). We have to get 40 births by the end of our training, maybe there's a way you could incorporate that to make it feel more fun? - I spend a lot of time on my laptop watching videos and writing essays lol - We have midwifery portfolios, biiiig booklets (some places have them online) that need updated regularly Happy to help with direct insight if needed, feel free to message me :)

Flick Riley

This looks so good! Will the midwife career split off into either nursing or midwife, since there’s a nursing school? Also just curious, is there any way you could split your mod into parts so that we can choose the aspects of it we’d like to include and skip in our games? I have a lot of mods that affect careers/university and I’m so scared this will clash with them all 😆. Of course if it does, this mod will win and my sims will have to go back to a vanilla educational system vs vanilla childbirth! (Teeny bit of a selfish request, but I think as the mod gets bigger picking and choosing bits would be incredible if possible)

kassandra

Oh man you’ve got my brain going crazy I would love to do this everytime you start talking about making something new it makes me wanna learn how to mod so I can make something little 😂or help you💖 What about work from home tasks? Like a promotion requirement could be work from home and attend some sort of presentation then once you get back from it you should have to volunteer at like the nursing home or hospital? I was also thinking, 🤔 I wonder if you could steel the coding for in home visits from the doctor career? And have to go and make a few house calls? Possible interactions/animation ideas…. 🙃 “take blood pressure” “take temp” “ask about health concerns” “listen to heartbeat” and obvs you’ve already got administer medication thing goin on lol but if someone at the visit is actually deadly sick you should have to “send to hospital” 😋

Katti Smith

Practice nursing kills (how to give shots (practice on fruit)/ nursing assessment on people at home/ iv etc).

Aster

The lighter fluid drinking sim made me LOL

Taylor Green

Will the medicine be compatible with Healthcare Redux. I know you and A.deep.indigo have worked together on the healthy living mod.

Arianna

I absolutely love this!!! As someone in nursing school currently I cannot wait to play with this mod. You are my favorite creator!! Thank you for all that you do 🩷🩷🩷

Tanara Owens

Yea ! That’s what i had in mind , the clinicals.

Brianna Benson

Yes, I loved going to clinicals, this would be so amazing

Nyaziah Lovelace

Honestly game wise, this is great. Maybe if you wanna spice it up add a nursing school entrance exam and an NCLEX type exam that they need to pass to graduate. Kind of like the finals for discover university. But if you decided to leave it like this that’s great too.

Liscosity

I'm thinking like in TS3 University where everyone would show up for one class a week that was basically a lab/practicum and skill build together. Maybe turn it into a requirement to have one gold Study Event a week?

Liscosity

Homework plus reading is already a lot. Maybe add some group study sessions built in? I genuinely always forget it's an options so if it's scheduled it's easier. Plus you can meet new Sims

Morgan

this is a good idea. i was thinking if it would be possible to add clinical in some way? like the nursing students assisting the doctors and it counts as class? maybe also doing science based school interactions as well?

Escarlet101

Just a suggestion not sure if it’ll be too much for the game but can there be an event where you go to the hospital for like placement/clinical practice for nursing school once or twice? Maybe go to the hospital and do things like document on the computer clean and deliver food to patients for the first event ( learning bedside care ) then eventually another event for giving medication and doing the vitals without diagnosing ?

Mirja

Hey Panda. :) I'm sure you can do it too. You have already accomplished so much that I had no idea was even possible. They have developed so incredibly from the beginning to now. This is simply incredible and I believe in you very much. *smile* Kind regards, Mirja

Jennifer Chambers

Do you work in healthcare? You strike me as an L&D nurse. Your knowledge is spot on! I’ve been in healthcare for almost 30 years and I live for your realistic birth mod and look forward to your updates and addon mods. My sims are always family centered and healthcare workers! Your mods make my gameplay so realistic and memorable. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and dedication to making Sims 4 the best game ever. EA really needs to be cutting you some type of royalty checks. I would imagine a great percentage of their pc sims 4 consumers are because of you!

Tanara Owens

Can you try having them attend a class and /or having them do things at the hospital to move forward
