(I kept this instructions as short as possible without mentioning any in game notifications, or moodlets)
1.Sims(age teen to elder) can join nursing school using their phone. Nursing school costs (§) 30,00
2. The first three years of nursing school works like regular rabbit hole school/careers. You need to complete daily tasks to advance to the next year. You will occasionally run into random scenarios when your sim is away at school.
3. You will be asked to practice IV on a piece of fruit and read the text book to increase your nursing skill as your daily assignment
4. And you will be asked to practice IV on another sim during year three
5. You will also receive this note binder during year three, you must study for the nursing exam and pass the exam to advance to year four.
6. It takes around 6 hours of studying to be fully prepared for the exam, if you are inspired or have another sim help you you will study twice as fast
7. You will know you are ready when you see this moodlet
8. Click on your sim to send them to take the exam
9.You will advance to year four once you pass
10. Year four is an active "career" where you travel to the hospital and do clinical rotation. you will be asked to perform basic tasks during your rotation
11. you will also be asked to perform ultrasound and pap smear on some days. During these special events a pregnant sim will come in, and you can tell them apart from the rest of the patient based on the red beating heart icon above their head
12. After Five days in clinical rotation you will receive your degree
13. You will receive a level boost and a 100% pay raise if you pursue the doctors career after completing nursing school.

male sims who are pregnant will be able to get pap smear regardless of their settings in WW

made an attempt to make llamaze instructor's outfit less random, they should now show up in their everyday outfit instead of wearing randomly generated outfits.
added debug option to instantly graduate nursing school in childbirth settings , this can be used if the career level and pay boost isn't applied after you finish the nursing program for some reason.

My sim can't study for her exam. Everything else seems to work, she has been able to read the books that came with the mod. But every time she tries to study for the exam the icon for something being in the way shows up. I have tried keeping the book in her inventory and putting it into the world, but nothing seems to work.

well, then you have a broken mod in your mods folder that's preventing you sims from reading books, you will have to figure out what it is. Nursing school cannot cause your sims to have issues with cooking and eating, it simply has nothing to do with them.

hi not sure if you ever fixed this but it was happening to me as well and i was running out of ideas so i went to another household and made them join the program and got the exam book from the book store and they were able to study!! not sure what it was about the house my sims lived in but once i moved her to a new house it instantly fixed, didnt have to delete any mods! hope this helps if you still needed it:)

If anyone is having a problem with not having the option to join the nursing school. I would suggest taking all of your scripted mods out, not deleting them, but taking them out of the game and reinstalling the childbirth mod. It worked for me, and I feel like people are not having an issue with installing it properly. I think it’s other mods affecting it, just a suggestion hopefully it works for you:)

You should probably not turn move object on, and place it where sims would put their dishes, not in the actual center of a desk

I don’t know any mods that could cause this as I have not had anyone else with this issue. I recommend you to do a test without any mods or cc first, and if it works, do the 50-50 method until you figure out what is causing the issue

UPDATE: I removed your mod to test if it was a game bug or a mod bug and found that the option to have the baby at the hospital was still not there. It looks like it’s a game bug. That's the one I usually use. The option isn't there. I've cycled through the pie menu several times, only finding "Start Home Birth" with your icon, and "Have baby." No hospital option. Pregnancy checkups worked just find, as well as going for the RhoGAM injection, but despite her being in labor, no "Have baby at hospital" option.

Panda, I'm not sure if the latest update has caused a base game bug or if it's something to do with your mod; my wife just went into labor in the game, and despite having already chosen to have a natural birth, she does not have an option to go to the hospital. I even rolled back to a save I made about 12 in-game hours before she went into labor and had the same issue. Can you take a look? I have the 1.74 version installed from your January 14 update. I didn't miss another update, did I?

It's the same book that says Pharamacology. My sim passed her nursing exam, and went on her first rotation, but she's unable to do any of the assignments on top of the screen.

hi, unfortunately sims cannot go back to nursing school once they graduate. If you really want your sim to go back you'll have to remove the nursing school graduate trait with mccc

I downloaded the pandasama childbirth mod v.174 and my sim is in her fourth year and going to rotation. No matter which job is up at the top of the screen, she's not able to do it. No paps smears, no testing urine, or giving blood pressure. So right now she's failing.

Okay so sorry but I found out it was definitely a me problem 😅 I didn't know a few of my small mods were broken from the update so it was messing with some custom interactions from a lot of the mods in my game but I got it sorted out. Sorry again for thinking it was a problem on your part!!

If you can see the base game pregnancy test but not the one from my mod it means you didn’t install the mod correctly. if you can’t see any pregnancy tests interactions at all after trying for baby it means your sim is unable to get pregnant, it likely has something to do with their fertility from another mod like RPO or Wicked whims, etc.

Interesting, it sounds like the patients at your hospital were already treated somehow. If you are handy with mccc you can remove the buff named buff_role_doctorcareer_patientstate_treated which should make all the other interactions show up. Other than that there’s not much you can do until I release an update

I think I installed the mod correctly, downloaded it, extracted it, made a folder for it and put it in there and moved it to the game's mods folder. Do you have any chests on your lot? If your sim didn't read the books in public, they're somewhere on the lot. If you have any storage chests or if you have the invisible counter space mod installed (useful mod for appliance storage, but sims always put random stuff there), then I'd check all of those places. I have a mod for purchasing books, I believe..? and I can purchase the textbooks from my bookcases. They're under skills. I'm assuming it's medical-surgical nursing or pharmacology that you're looking for.

Good morning, I was playing with the nursing school and my sim is in 3rd year, I had her read her textbooks and she must have set them somewhere but i have looked and cant locate them. Is there anyway to buy them back i looked on the "web" and in the "shop for books" i was able to find the note binder but not the text books. If the base game pregnancy test is showing but mine is not it means the mod is not installed correctly. If neither are showing up it means your sim is unable to get pregnant. If the translation is not showing up it means your translation is either not installed correctly, or you are on a MacBook where the read order is different than how the translation is named

i downloaded it from the newest link then it went to my downloads folder i then i dragged it and put it in my mods folder how ive done it every time and it would be fine i even took it back out to try and do it where i open the folder and just drag the files out and out it in my mods its only the nursing school that doesn't work the birthing mod still works

Oh actually I’ve seen this once before. Try moving the script file into a sub folder if it is currently placed directly in your mods folder. If that doesn’t work then ya upload it to google drive and I’ll take a look

Good job describing the issue! So the most common cause would be the mod is not installed correctly, the most common installation error is people put the script file more than one folder deep, the second most common reason is the “mods folder” they are using is somehow not in right location and instead on their desktop or in a random location, the third most common reason is they didn’t unzip the zip file that the mod came in and placed the zip file directly in their mods folder

Unfortunately I hear that way too often, people would say it was working a few days ago, then when I check their files their mods folder is sitting on their desktop, or they are looking for a feature from RPO. What evidence do you have in game that the mod is installed correctly? A working mod can’t just stop working or uninstall itself for absolutely no reason. Even if the nursing school isn’t working other parts of the mod should still be there if the mod is installed correctly

Since the last mod update, I've been having issues with the 'active career' nursing game. Hi! My sim graduated from nursing school and now works in the hospital, but when a pregnant sim came in and needed to be put on the surgery table, after clicking on the action they would just stand there instead of going to the surgery table and giving birth. The pregnant sim ended up leaving because I couldn’t do the surgery on her. Is there something specific i’m supposed to do or is this just a game issue rather than a mod issue?

hi, unfortunately home birth requires get to work as well. lactation is possible without get to work, but if you want to install the mod without get to work you have to make sure you dont place down any birth items(birth pillow, pool, birth bed) or your sims will start glitching

Ok. I figured it out. I had two versions of the of the same mod in the mods folder. But to make sure I have the right version , what is the current version of the mod? I'm sorry, I got confused a little bit with having two different versions.

There is not such thing as the nursing school mod, it is an UPDATE for the childbirth mod. It’s the SAME mod

I deleted the mods folder, then started the game to get a new mods folder and put just the nursing school mod in the mods folder with the other mods and not the childbirth mod it self and the join nursing school option showed up when I went back into the game. But now I put the childbirth mod back in and the option for join nursing school went away again. I did notice though that when I put the childbirth mod and the nursing school mod in the mods folder at the same time, something with the script part is not working right. I don't know if you can check that or if there is something else I can try to get them both working.

I can't figure out how to install it correctly because every time I reinstall it, it still won't show up in the game. I even checked to see if I had an old version that I didn't I delete and as far as I know I deleted the old version completely. I haven't tried with a teen sim only young adult and up. It shows the skill but it is blank. It only shows the icon, there is no words or anything and if there is any books, I don't see them either. And when I look on the phone menu it doesn't show the option to join nursing school.

That’s the gender reveal glasses, this can only happen if you have the gender reveal bucket on the lot and your sim picked one up. Next time click on your sim and there will an option to remove the glasses

It sounds like the clinical days were recorded but the UI wasn’t able to reflect it. No one else has reported the same issue yet so I’m going to guess it might be caused by a outdated UI mods or a conflict with another career mods

Hi! Do you have get to work? If so can you try saving and restarting the game? One person who had the same problem said they fixed it by doing that. And if it still doesn’t work, you could try resetting the get to work pack in case the lot is corrupt. I have a tutorial on Discord

I actually found out the reason it wasn’t showing in my teens phone is probably because they didn’t graduate HS yet. The mod shows up in the young adults phone in my save. Thanks for the quick replies. Love your mod.

It should work either way, but it definitely should work if it’s placed on a table. One other person reported having the same issue but we haven’t figured out why 🤔

Thank you, PandaSama! I had to quit nursing school in my 1st year for reasons and never got to go back, also for reasons. I had already been working as a phlebotomist and lab assistant while I was going through school. So lucky to have that job! Anyway, 28 years later, I am a lead phlebotomy supervisor with Labcorp and I do love it, but I have always regretted not going back and becoming a BSN. It was my dream since 10th grade. Anyway, my daughter completed my dream! She has been working in the ICU for almost 3 yrs and is starting Nurse Practitioner school after the holidays, to say I am in awe and so proud are just words that don’t cover it! She is a fantastic nurse and lives for her job. We sit around and "Shop Talk” ( much to people who overhear’s disgust)! Lol! I showed my daughter your mod and now that you have added nursing school to it! She is so impressed, btw! She said, for a mod in a game that you have definitely done your research!! I told her that my simself will be going to nursing school to become a midwife! I have now taken things a step further. My job offers tuition reimbursement, so I’m going back to school. I’m 51 and not sure where my field of interest lie. I don’t have the vim and vigor that my 26 y/o daughter has, but I now realize it’s never too late to achieve your dreams! Made this all about me. Sorry, but I do want to thank you because you play a big part in my decision!! Can’t wait for my simself to start school! She’s gonna work her ass off, as will I, and ace school!
