Need Each Other (Chorus)
🕑 Added 2021-04-08 16:34:11 +0000 UTCYo! Here's a fun one. The guitar plays a minimal approach during this chorus, allowing the piano to take the forefront. Instead of playing all the time, the guitar just plays the occasional jazzy fill to compliment everything else.
I kind of ramble at the end with some of my thoughts on how to keep playing enjoyable for yourself, and to stay inspired. If you're feeling in a rut that might be worth giving a listen.
I'll also be posting another shred lord tier tutorial next week - almost done, just need to edit the video. Keep your eyes peeled!

Thank you for your words of wisdom at the end of the video. I am not a guitarist. (I'm here to support you and your students.) But the idea can be applied to any activity that we took up because it brought us joy. (And for what it's worth, I am learning a little bit by watching the videos each week. I played the viola and cello in school, so I know just enough about stringed instruments to be able to appreciate some of the concepts. Your efforts aren't entirely wasted on me, lol. And I'm sure I'm not the only non-guitarist who enjoys the lessons even if we aren't utilizing them. Oh dear, now I'm the one who's rambling. Thank you is what I meant to say.)

Honestly, of all the things I have learned from you, that last bit is one of the most important. I'm definitely the type to make things into an obligation, and having permission to just give myself a break occasionally if I'm really not feeling it has been incredibly helpful. Guitar has brought me an immeasurable amount of joy in the last year, I'm glad I decided to try it!
