Regarding the feel here, the key is to get a nice clean tone and play the notes quick and choppy. It comes from an extended C minor pentatonic scale which looks like:

Ooooh, this gave me an idea for how to improve something I'm working on! I think a bit of alternate picking might sound nice. Will have to give it a try and find out! Thanks for the epiphany, teach :) Btw, bends are going all right I think--my ratio of music to sad cat is steadily increasing, I think I just need to do it more confidently
