Hyphae tea lamps

Each will have a one of a kind pattern generated by our Hyphae software inspired by leaf venation (and mycelial networks). We wanted to create a piece that would let us make something from lasercut stainless steel. More details later!

No base could be a more streamlined look. However, I can also see a wood base working well as the wood marries well with the organic nature of the art. So excited as usual!!!
Nervous System
Having a base seems necessary if they were a real product, but they’re more of an experiment so the added complexity of adding the base is possibly not worth it. We considered having a laser cut wood base that it sits on with a groove on the edge where the metal can rest. The other option is having a circle of metal laser cut with tabs on it that bolts into the shade structure base but then there’s more elements to bend and fasten.
