Suvroc was less a hidden plot line and more an amusing 'wow I really should have realized' bit for Shiro. She seemed so used to keeping to herself, avoiding poking at folks' backstories, that it just....flew over her head. Ha.

I’m terrible with palindromes and didn’t spot it. I suspected something was up with the preferred way Suvroc/Corvus treated Shiro and it somehow involved Aether. Great ending to that mini-arc.
