I'm sure all of you are well aware that motivation can be fleeting. It's hard to stay focused for more then a couple of hours, maybe days at a time. And while it's a useful to get yourself pumped for a new challenge, it is easy to burnout without the feeling of bigger purpose behind your actions. So it can be useful every now and then to get back to the grand questions behind your commitments. Remember what pushed you to start your artistic journey, and remind yourself of why this goal is worth toiling over. Art can help you learn things about yourself, the world and others. It can teach lessons reaching out far beyond realms of creativity. It can help people, either by addressing their issues, or by providing comfort, entertainment and a bit of relief from the mundane. It can bring wonder and charm to even the smallest of things. It can help you establish your presence. To express yourself freely. To share your vision. Do any of those resonate with you?~

This is a great reminder. I’ve been killing myself over finishing my project rhat I’ve taken a step back..and at times find myself not enjoying it. But you right, all I need to do is remember why I started it. The reason. It’s much bigger. It means something. It will mean something. It can’t be rushed either. I’ve learned so much about my self as a person. Thank you for sharing this ❤️
