So you know how I can't do animations...

As some of you know I've tried animations before, both using Renpy frame by frame (which wasn't great...) and also by trying full video which damn near broke me over the file size. (a single video ani was coming out to a quarter of the existing game size).
But since I'm in remastering goddess mode I thought one last try before I fully gave up on this until I had more powah....
Below is a link for a test run which came out at 754kb. The same size as four normal images. So, in terms of file size I'm more than happy.
But...putting aside posing etc as this was just a test, is the quality OK? If video like this popped up in game would you as the player be fine with the overall video quality level?
I'd welcome your views.

Edit: Another different but smaller file as I play with file size further. Only a 2 sec clip but would come out at about 500kb for the same duration. However I think the frame rate might be a bit choppier tbh despite the third off and so probs isn't worth it.

I guess I odd one out, I liked the range of movement involved in second and found it smoother than majority of animations in games at moment. The exaggerated step to me nails dancing or gymnastics rather than seeming mechanical. Liked them both,

Thank you :) I'll confess I didn't spend a great deal of time on the posing for Becca largely as I was after a movement test in respect of the file size, but tbh I didn't like it very much. But since I did the test I thought I'd ask, after all it's you guys who need to be happy with it not me :) But scrimping a little too much. I mean 754kb isnt bad for 6 secs really. So the next question is obvs how long should ani's be....

As much as I love Becca (on a scale of 1 to infinity, that's very close to infinity²), her animation is kinda chunky. Her face doesn't change and her moves are a bit robotic. The princess now... What the flying Notty!? That's some freaking great quality! I never disliked your animation till now, but this is another level altogether! In case I wasn't clear: me likey :)

Well if even Becca poledancing can't convince at that frame rate, it's defo not going to work then :)

The first one definitely. Things um... moved in a very um... pleasing fashion.
I agree about the second test. To my eyes, it's not as sharp and smooth, so I think you hit a pretty good balance with the first. :)
