Drach, Are you going to do a special on Admiral Cochrane? Just been listening to drydock 81 and your recounting of the Esmeralda. You mentioned that his name comes up a lot. Or have you done it already? histories of famous naval persons would be welcome.
no but he sells some rather nice shirt and tops with it
Is the Drachinifel channel logo available as a sticker?

The American hotel system isn't American. It's from India, and run by the Patel family.

Gideon comes to mind...
Smokey The Bear
I don't always comment, but I really like what I learn from the Drydocks, 5 minute guides and specials like the pronunciation of foreign navy ships and Bismark's fight (Royal Navy's fight with the Bismark), etc.
Hugh Fisher
An admin question, and I feel bad for asking this after suggesting you need to do less content not more, but, uh, the cruiser design competition?

Enjoyed the Drydock, fully understand changes that need to be made. Only can watch all these YouTube videos because I’m at home without a job or place to go. Concerning the Bismarck, its stability, and its gunnery, now I know what an easy roll means in warship design and performance. I would NOT plan on a trip to America anytime soon, with New York State taken out of the equation the number of daily COVID-19 cases is on a steady upward slope. There are now even cases popping up within the White House. For all the political talk of “reopening” the country, the pandemic by all scientific accounts is spreading with a steady death toll that in total numbers of dead exceeds the US Military losses from the Vietnam War. Business is very bad in the US, there is now expected to be widespread failure of companies both large and small, with accompanying permanent job losses, with unemployment going through till the end of the year on a level not seen since the depths of the Great Depression in 1932. Unemployment is in the high teens right now, but those numbers are a few weeks behind, and don’t include me. I lost my hotel job in March, about the last one to be let go. I had a few weeks of holiday pay, so after I burned that I applied for unemployment insurance. I got a letter informing me this week that I lost my healthcare insurance (not that it was much good anyways), so I’ll have to see if I can sign up for the ACA public exchange, which the Trump Administration is suing in federal court to deep-six, with a Supreme Court ruling expected this year. With most American’s healthcare tied to their private employers, thee are now many tens of millions who are without coverage. To be honestly, for the young and fit, now would be a great time to join the US Navy, Marine Corp, or Coast Guard. You get food, healthcare, lodging, and an occasional change of scenery.
When did the Royal Navy first institute boot camp, to give new sailors some training prior to their joining a ship's crew?
Kevin Kennelly
With respect, you've never seen me roll dice.

God favors the big battalions. In naval combat there is the tyranny of numbers – providence smiles upon the side of the heaviest squadron with the heaviest guns. Luck, cunning, and skill can affect the odds; but all things being equal, an opponent with the advantage of having significantly more ships of roughly equally armament, speed, and displacement will usually emerge victorious in a fleet action from the smoke of battle.
I really like how you broke the questions up.
