Everyone is talking about the next Batman movie, but all I can think about is Poison Ivy (who is most probably not in the movie). I often think about Poison Ivy, it's a mix between "I want to be her" and "I want to be WITH her". Do you know this feeling with fictional characters?
So I got a little carried away with this "extended" master study. The illustration is based off this painting by John William Waterhouse:

I like to study the colors in old masters' painting, they have so many subtle tones you don't see at first, but which add a lot of depth and MAGIC. I tried to combine some of that with my style and I think it worked quite well this time.
It feels very good to finish an illustration again after I felt like my long-going job had completely killed my creativity. But it is still there, it was just tired!
Anyways, I wish there were more movies featuring Poison Ivy, I am a bit tired of Batman and the 500 Joker versions. Give me more bad girls. My Poison Ivy here should probably be played by Christina Hendricks. 😍

Ich hab mich auch schon immer zu rothaarigen weiblichen Charakteren hingezogen gefühltm obwohl ich keine roten Haare hatte als kind. Vielleicht fehlt für einen guten Ivy Film einfach jemand mit einer coolen Storyidee kommt. Ich mochte den Harley Quinn film (Birds Of Prey) sehr gerne und hab mich gewundert, warum da nicht mehr Hype war. Vielleicht muss ich einfach diese story schreiben, HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Ich habe Batman erst in dem Bildausschnitt gesehen :D. SO sehr hat Poison Ivy meinen Blick gelenkt. Großartig.

Genau das denke ich mir bei Ivy auch immer. Da schwankt man echt zwischen „so möchte ich auch sein“ und „Halleluja ist die heiß“! Als ich klein war fand ich sie schon cool. Und gerade als kleines rothaariges Mädchen, welches es wegen seiner Haarfarbe oft nicht leicht hatte, identifizierte man sich gerne mit starken coolen rothaarigen Charakteren. 💪🏻💋 Ich muss leider gestehen, dass ich die Hoffnung schon aufgegeben habe, dass mal ein Film mit einer tollen Poision Ivy kommt. Ich verstehe nicht, dass sie nie eine Rolle bekommt. Ist sie vielleicht schwer zu besetzen? 🤷🏼♀️ Dein Bild finde jedenfalls mega! Es passt wirklich so perfekt zu Ivy und ich finde du hast n tollen Stil. Der passt so richtig schön zum Motiv! Das Bild würde sich auch schön als Wallpaper machen oder natürlich auch im Rahmen an der Wand! Traumhaft! Und ich bin gespannt was du demnächst noch zeigen wirst. Freue mich, dass du deine Motivation wieder gefunden hast.😘

Wow. Das Motiv und dein Zeichenstil sind wahnsinnig gut geworden. Ich gebe dir auch vollkommen recht was böse Frauen, wie z.B. auch Harley Quinn, in Filmen betrifft.
